Just got back and...

I really fucking liked it. I don't know whether I'd say it's better than TDK. At times it felt too rushed, making the highs and lows oddly cut, and at times it's trying too many things at once. But it was fun as fuck, and tied up the trilogy nicely.

I really enjoyed what it chose to explore, and as I collect my thougths on the film, I'm certain there's going to be a lot to go back on and think about.

Highly recommended.

No, no, no. TDKR is just a film lost in the scramble to jerk off fanboys. It can be nit-picked, or ignored. But if you make yourself more than just a fan wank, if you devote yourself to your important characters, and if the studio can't stop you, then it becomes something else entirely. there better be a directors cut. IMAX cannot fit more than 2:45 and the movie is exactly 2:45? I dont buy it.

Not ranking the movies yet, but I WILL rank the scores (having listened to TDKR's now 3 times in a row):

BB >>>> TDK >>>>>>>> TDKR

Man, this score is....... not very good. Almost all the best cues are rearrangements of superior cues from BB (and a few from TDK). The lack of JNH is extremely noticeable and hurts the score drastically. Zimmer's work on Inception was phenomenal, but TDKR's score is phenomenally lacklustre.

Totally agree. First thing I did when I got home after watching TDKR was listen to the BB score. I'm really disappointed in TDRK score. It has few highlights.

Just got back. Very entertaining. Amazingly, even with the long as hell run time there were still some parts that seemed a little rushed. Ending is great, a very nice wrap up to the whole series. Actually got a little sad knowing that's the end of this story.

Hathaway did a hell of a job. Bane's voice still needed work. A few cheesy lines here and there, but a lot that worked really well to balance it out. Movie felt appropriately epic, though it walked the line of going a little too over the top from time to time. Still, it never crossed it enough to put me off.

I'll save the rest for the spoiler thread. Definitely recommended and I find myself wanting to watch it in theater at least one more time. That has not happened in a while.


Also, my IMAX showing had no trailers at all. Jumped right to the movie as soon as the lights went down.

I enjoyed the OST, but not denying there is nothing new. The placement of the tracks during the portions of the film seemed the most frustrating.

Made the comparison to Spider-Man 2 before, which would be closely accurate.
