New E.X. Troopers screens and gameplay

Somehow the character models always appear to be a little off the ground.

Also--we've got dashing melee attacks!

That being said, I want this game even more. Online co-op PLS

The OP screens are obviously PS3 screens, and they are very neat. I think that the resolution and the AA of those screens put the previous ones as 3DS screens, right?

Definitely looks nice but reactions in here are surprising considering how routine it's looking in certain areas. Looking forward to it, though.

something something Mega Man Legends 3 >:|

This probably isn't going to be very fun playing it on the PS3, since the gameplay seems to be rather simplified for the sake of the 3DS. Oh wait, they were simplifying the gameplay to begin with.

I'm really loving the music of this game so far. We haven't heard much, but the trailers have all sounded great.

I'm hoping it doesn't stray too far from the LP formula or anything. I'm a big fan of the first two and feeling pretty skeptical about 3.

Still saddens me that we can get this, but still nothing on the Dino Crisis front.
However at least it's looking decent, especially the graphics. Really like the changeup to cel shaded anime.

Graphics look like they were designed to be scalable. Is it MT Framework?

The graphics don't look scalable at all. The graphics look like straight 3DS assets and shaders running in HD. If the graphics were scalable they'd look at least somewhat better in the PS3 version.

But yeah anyway, they're definitely using MT Framework.

From what I've gathered from the released media, the difference between the 3DS and PS3 versions seems to be frame-rate and dynamic shadows cast on the ground (for character models at least though only half of the shadow is shown as a part of the art style). The 3DS version so far has static shadows and a lower frame-rate.

And the graphics obviously.

Those are very likely to be bullshots for the 3DS version (the characters don't have dynamic and the images' dimensions are multiples of the 3DS top screen resolution). Even if the textures aren't all that hot, Capcom's MT Framework still remains king in using the 3DS hardware, specially in the character model department. I've been re-playing RE:R recently and I had forgotten how damn good the character models look.

BTW, I would love a new Okami game using that engine: some levels actually look like they came straight from Okami.

I like how fast it looks, LP2 put you in tiny arena areas yet it still felt boring to traverse the environment on foot at times, despite the grappling hook and stuff. I take it the game has a lock on function? Some of that aiming seems too good to be free on analog. The presentation is cool with the anime overlays for specials, dialogues, etc.

In Capcom's Lost PLanet offshoot EX Troopers, you'll be able to make use of a training system called "VR Missions." Attendees of the academy use VR Missions to train in simulations that resemble real battle.

VR Missions come in a variety of forms, including cooperative battles with AK creatures, and versus battles with your fellow students. In addition to playing with CPU partners and foes, you can play with other players. On PS3, this is done through internet play. On 3DS, the multiplayer is local.

The end of the this game will show Megaman Volnut on the moon having a weird dream of ice planets and robots...

Waiting to be rescued...........
