Wow, the Knowles reviews is hilarious.
I will agree with him on one point though. Alfred would never ditch Bruce.
Also agree with the Bane fight (notably the second) not being up to the first one, but it didn't kill the film for me. The 2nd fight did come off as Batman beating bane with brawn, and not brains.
Oh yeah, so this isn't a serious criticism of the movie in any way but it does have to be asked: how does Bane eat?
In fairness, he didn't really ditch him. They had a major disagreement. Alfred would have left Gotham with the intention of coming back, but obviously the city was in lock down after he left.
People seem to love the prison climb but that scene didn't do anything for me. It wasn't bad by any means but I wouldn't list it as a highlight of the trilogy, or even the movie.

I never got the feeling Alfred ditched him, it was Bruce kicking him out. Alfred didn't give up on him because he still went to that Paris cafe to see if his dream would come true.
I need a rewatch!
I was wondering if he would wreck Bane's mask with his gauntlets the way he broke Liam Neeson's (What? I can't decide between Ra's or Ducard) sword in the last fight in Begins. Just trap both gauntlets in the mask and go "HOW ABOUT THIS?!" and tear it apart. If you watch the 2nd fight again, Batman changes his attack and starts trying to use his gauntlets to cut his tubes until he's finally successful. He also finally realizes he needs to actually dodge Bane's super punches. lol
I thought that was pretty cool.

Just finished watching the movie. Man what a great film and a fantastic end to the trilogy. Also Batmanis dead? Meh. Alfred cying in front the graves of the Wayne family? Noooo ;_;

I found the climb weird because there was no risk in it really. When I first saw it, I thought the rope was tied around their necks which would make sense. You fall you die. Instead its around your waste so there's no real risk. It's like a really fun game to play in jail. Why not just try every day? The whacky rope climb climb game.
Because you knock your head against a wall.
Also the first time up he yanks on the rope when he's on the platform, so I was like oh he has to take off the rope. And then he didn't get it that time. And then he didn't get it again. I expected him to just do it the third time after realizing it himself, but he had to be directly told it by the old dude. :/
The real ending should have been Bruce walking on the beach up to a sail boat.
They close in on the boat, and it's revealed to be Tim Robbins.
man tears.
That was my favorite moment too---glad it was over.
Oh yeah, what the fuck was this?
Did you watch the movie?I felt like they could have done more with Bane.
He didn't have a device that jacked him up on steroids like he usually does.
Do they ever explain why he wears that mask?

EMP gun.
Did you watch the movie?
He got his ass kicked when he helped Talia get out, and the doctor fucked with his treatment and made it worse during recovery. Talia has an explicit line saying "after the doctor was done with him..."
They do do it every day. That's the point. They'll always try it and always fail. That's the whole false hope aspect of it.
But why the lack of risk? If you're going to try and escape from jail then there should be consequences. And given the fact that Bruce Bale tried it so often, it didnt really seem that big of a deal. It was contrived. Set up in such a way that would allow Bruce to try and fail over and over again until he learned his lesson.

There are too many awesome moments in the entire trilogy to count or make a list of. And yes TDKR adds to the list a lot too. The ending, the Bane vs Batman fight, Catwoman ass kicking, Bruce getting out of the well... and one of my personal favorite scenes from the movie was when JGL was storming the hospital with his loaded shotgun to save Gordon only to find that Gordon had one upped the goons.

Watching TDK again:
"Batman couldn't want to do this forever; how could he? He's looking for someone to take up his mantle"
Mary Stu JGL to the rescue, but I do like the concept
For example, he complained about some of the movie being unrealistic and then at the same time suggests clayface and manbat as better villains.
I call absolute BULLSHIT on that notion right there. BATMAN/BRUCE WAYNE isn’t some soft-hearted slob that hides for the majority of a decade because somebody killed his girlfriend. If anything, that’s why he hits the street. The elimination of organized crime isn’t what pulls him off the street… it’s stopping street crime, any crime. He fights in the night so the only people that fear the streets at night are the cockroaches that prey upon fucking humanity. He’s fucking BATMAN. BATMAN doesn’t mope around his mansion unmotivated to participate in the fucking world. He isn’t that kind of person.
It's not about risk, it's about giving people hope that they could leave but will never be able to. It's absolute torture.
JGL's performance in this movie was bizarre. In the beginning he was so utterly wooden that I couldn't believe it was him and then consistently as the movie goes on his acting skill increases.

Would've been more hard hitting if I looked up and said "I could try to get up there but if I fail I die". Freedom so close yet so far. Do I risk it, can I even make it? Makes more sense to me. But as I said. Contrived and set up for Bruce.

This is far far far worse:
You mean like Bruce Wayne didn't disappear for 7 years during his early adulthood in Batman Begins? If anything, those are the only two coping mechanisms Bruce Wayne has: disappear or get even.
Oh yeah, what the fuck was this?
