Still figuring out the excel spreadsheet atm. I can't quite figure out how to neatly calculate a team's average elo, comparing it the opponent team's average elo, and then handing out the new elo to each individual player. If anyone has more excel experience (or we can just beg delirium when he gets back on), that'd be great.

Once the excel spreadsheet is up, a thread will probably be made for it and you'll be able to sign up there (free to everyone).

As someone who hasnt partaken in the GAF inhouses, this is terrifying xD.

Just join the neogaf channel in Dota 2 if you want to MM and stuff with gaffers. The IHL is something different; it has rewards at the end of the season and will have an elo-based ranking system. We're plugging away at it right now but are waiting for the more excel experienced folks to get on to help us out. Signups probably will be going up tonight.

To be fair I haven't played in a game where we haven't bought a courier in ages.

My favourite moment is still when we bought a courier and gave it to someone (I think it was Nilay) to place down to get their courier skin, but they decided to buy a second courier and then put them both down.

I have a bit of newb question. For character items, I assume you only get them if your on the winning team. When someone disconnects the game, and it says your free to leave, will you still be awarded the item, or do you have to stay until the end of the game.

You get items whether you are on the winning team or not. You just have to stay in the game until the end, and get lucky.

According to a post on Reddit, if someone finishes the game, it's a chance for anyone who played in the game to get items, even if you already disconnected. Next time the people who disconnected go into their backpack, they'll get a notification they have new items. TBH, I'm ok with that, but the person who abandoned should definitely not get any items or battle points.

Same, live in Michigan. I get too much of a latency difference in europe. Honestly assumed that everyone that queued for USE also queued for USW and vice versa. I would think russians would queue more for USW and that might be the one people drop.

TF2 style in Matchmaking, random items are sometimes given out at the end of the game. You can also purchase them with money.
