Your kidding right? Jlo's career has been thoroughly revived.
But J.Lo did get a boost from the show. She ended up #1 on Forbes and is now going on tour.
For many people, these reality shows are a great way to get the exposure they otherwise wouldn't on their own. Many people can not break into the industry simply because of the way they look, which is one of the things The Voice fights against.
I don't know what YOU consider low ratings, but The Voice's ratings are fairly decent, and actually rose in the 2nd season. If you think there are no antics on Idol... maybe you might want to re-watch every season since the show began.

I really doubt the Voice has a higher proportion. AT the end of the day the show still has not produced a single artist with ANY impact on the industry. Until that happens what good is it anyways?The main driver for the Voices higher ratings was its super bowl pairing. If you take that and the next couple episodes out of the mix the picture is not nearly so cheery.
Still not sure what antics you think you are talking about. Idol does nothing the others shows don't also do and does significantly less than Xfactor (not sure about the Voice since I always get bored before the later parts of the season but from the auditions there is WAY more gimmick going on)
The Noise was actually below Season 1 numbers after the Battle Rounds. The season trend line was spectacularly precipitous.

No one said they were bad. Just not up to snuff with what people (you) claimed and expected. Same reason Xfactor got another season. Before hand people were saying 20-30 million or bust yet it debuted with like 12. Yet it got another season.
Doesn't make it not a disappointment though.

God I love how you pretend that just because "I won't be the only one watching this show when it returns" means it is some huge smash. Fact is its ratings were mediocre and propped up by super bowl then dropped dramatically as the season went on and finished well behind idol. Also sales of their contestants have been embarrassingly bad.
Maybe not lies....delusions of grandeur yes. The whole Emmy nom things is absurd.....every major reality show gets noms. Has nothing to do with quality.

Yes.....they do. Though some f them have a rather limited selection and just post the same ones over and over as a catch all. I wish some mod would tell them they don't need a GIF in EVERY post though.
(I would say its pop gaf more than gay gaf though there is a lot of overlap)

Actually, while Pop GAF has a lot of gay members, it does not a lot of posters who are active in Gay GAF. And Pop GAF has a few token straights. The gif posting is mostly Pop GAF.

That would be correct. Also....this year The Voice will be fall against X Factor instead of against Idol. That alone will probably boost Idols ratings.
