3DS Streetpass Experiences

Got my first street pass here in Scottsdale, Tasmania

Very happy !

can't believe it worked, walked straight pass someone with a 3DS playing pokemon quest !!!

Just beat Find Mii. 135 heroes. whatchuknowaboutthat

Also apparently after reading up online, once you finish Find Mii II you can
choose to do it again or the Secret Quest without any conditions attached
. That makes me feel better since I may actually be able to get everything now, and sounds more in line with what Nintendo would do in terms of accessibility.

Does anyone have a pink Kirby 20th Anniversary puzzle piece? I didn't receve one on either of my 3DS consoles and the one person I've streetpassed just had a normal blue piece as well.

Does anyone have a map of hat locations in special quest? Last I saw was fairly inaccurate and I am trying to fill in a last few remaining hats.

Here's a map I made for me follow when I was going through the secret quest.
Word of warning though, I haven't finished the secret quest so a lot of the information I used to make it was from guides and might be wrong too, here is the version of the map that has my current progress on it, so all the room hazards and marked off hats along the routes I took are correct. And for what it's worth, the only thing I've had to correct on the map as I play through have been room hazards, so the hats should be correct.

Probably pointed out somewhere else but...I just came across this:

Excellent work Tye, can't believe I recognized your Mii immediately.

You are a cool dude Tye.

Thanks a lot!! I really appreciate it. I'm pretty sure you're the first person to post about it on GAF, too.

That's awesome that you recognized my Mii like that, lol.

Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah~

lol

Personally I'm taking it as a sign I spend too much time reading Gaf, lol.

Reggie's Mii was sent out on the one year anniversary of the 3DS's NA release, which I'm pretty sure was more than a month ago.

I remember getting the Reggie Mii and thinking, "Holy Crap! I must have walked by him or something when I went to E3!" The Mii was sent out, like what, a week or so after E3? Then I learned this and my smile went upside down.

So, who's made their first million*, gaf?

(*) no, not streetpasses, steps.

To reach 1 million streetpass you'd need to streetpass 1000/day during almost 3 years, i doubt anyone will reach that mark before a looooong time anyway :p

Regarding the steps i was around 700 000 last time i checked, and it was around 1 month ago, not so hard to reach if you walk like 45mn/day i guess.

I got about 300 hits in the three days that I was in Tokyo. Awesome, considering I've only had about ten since the system launch. Very interesting the entirely different playlist in Japan. Also, got about twenty japanese states knocked out on my map. Pleased with that.

And, was very lucky and got the same dude twice in the Netherlands, about a month apart. It was in the airport, so I'm thinking he must have worked there.

Just got my 3DS back after having out for repairs for almost a month, all my stuff is erased and gone.

Q: Anyone know if I can get Reggie and Moffitt back? Or what about those special Swap Note stationaries?

This is why I refused to send mine in for the screen scratch issue.

Hopefully when account roll out, there will be some way to backup your 3DS system stats and StreetPass data.

I'd sent it in once before for screen scratches and it came back fine. This second (and third) time it was for motherboard issues, and while the save data seemed fine when I sent it in I suppose it's either impossible to replace the motherboard and save the data (not sure how the 3DS is put together but this should be possible) or the tech who worked on it simply didn't give a shit (likely).

Probably not the Miis, but the stationaries you can get back if someone sends you all of them.

As an experiment, I decided to see how many new pieces I can get with Play Coins.
Out of a possible 150, I actually managed to get 51.

Observations:
Rate of new pieces seems to slow down after 30.
Despite having four puzzles with that last lousy piece, I never managed to get it.
Even the new Kirby 20th Anniversary puzzle still managed to get duplicates.

Despite taking my 3DS everywhere, I rarely seem to get Streetpass tags for those pink pieces, or tags in general really. I need to go to more conventions, C2E2 managed to net me like 25 people. I should swallow my pride and try an anime convention.

2146 Streetpasses ?! How ?!

With that said, I only have a measly low 105 126 steps, but I don't take my 3DS very often, and when I do i usually have between at least 5000 steps at the end of the day.
I have 4,236 StreetPass Tags on my 3DS, lol. Only 1,092 of those are unique Miis in my Plaza, though. It really helps when you have four 3DS systems in the same apartment. XD

I configured my brother's 3DS, and, WTF some countries aren't even listed in the console ! Like seriously, you have Mozambique but not northern Africa countries ? What the hell ?

I believe the listed countries are the ones in which Nintendo products are officially distributed.
Nope, that wouldn't make any sense because they are officially distributed in countries absent from the console's settings while there are countries I'm not so sure they are distributed in...

aw, what?! id hire myself all the time in find mii 2!

and yeah, the mapping choices are strange. i was quietly offended that most western europe countries have maps, but Ireland somehow doesn't.

I'm at around 1.3M. Hitting one million felt pretty cool, not gonna lie. I don't take it everywhere, though — it'd probably be double that if I did. I walk around 35 miles a week, I'd guess.
