Can anyone tell me whats up with some of the artwork Valve put out that have a weird texture when you zoom in? In KotL's artwork you can see it while Visage/Nyx both look painted.

That's some sick art. Love the Visage piece.

With that in mind, after today’s update we’ll be clamping things down a tad, focusing on getting the existing feature and hero set polished to a high sheen. Fear not, we will continue to work on new heroes internally, getting them ready for a release once The International is over.

So looks like no new heroes for at least a month.

Epix ping the minimap a bunch should fix. If not restart dota and it should work. I've got a new bug where my minimap completely dissappears, has happened in every game I try to spec but likely not the bot match I tried to test if its gone in game.

Well with The International 2 coming up, they will probably just be doing bug fix patches and prepping for that. I wouldn't be surprised if these were the only heroes we see until after TI2 ends.

We can only hope the week after TI2, 6.75 hits and we get most of the missing heroes patched into DotA 2.

I just tried Keeper of the Light and wow, he is pretty amazing. His pushing power is incredible, and he can harass lanes early on with his illuminate attack. He has got to be the squishiest hero in the game though I can definitely see myself playing him more often.

Meepnooooooooooooooooooo. Been waiting for him all summer and now it looks like he won't be in for a while.

Surprised medusa wasn't patched in before TI2, I hear she's popular for chinese teams.

dafuq. Final score was Radiant 25 - Dire 44. We (radiant) won. Remember kids Objective>Kills
Yeah I just had a game like that where twenty-five minutes in it was like 28-13 in their favor but they weren't committing at all or organizing ganks or anything and so we started pushing and wrecked their shit half an hour later with a final tally of like 43-48

I hate laning against KOTL, or as my group has come to call him, asshole horse (AH). First come the Elrond horses hittin harder than powershots and being as wide as the lane. Then their normally mana starved characters that lane with him now able to spam as many abilities as they want, keeping us too low to fight back.

Thursday is the absolute worst day to play if you are new to the game. Haven't picked up a win in an entire week.

Whoo! First time I've manage to actually carry as Trax. 33/9 ain't bad for me, especially with how badly that game was going at the start.

So, how to Visage?

I went treads, mek, Pipe, rod of atoas and cuirass when game ended. I was basically unkillable. The other team lost solely by trying to kill me.

Use the gargoyles for stun. It's one of their best use cases.

The moment I've seen him at my lane I stuned him right way and drew first blood. Repeat that every time he comes back.

Someday I want to be as manly as you.

On a side note:

With The International arriving in just over a month, we want to give the competing teams some time to practice with a stable Hero roster, and as few new bugs from us as possible. So I tried all the new heroes:

Keeper: A lot of fun with some interesting moves. His illuminate is an amazing pushing tool, and is also effective in lanes and even team fights if you position yourself well enough. I think he could synergize well with a lot of heroes.

Nyx: I admit it, I sucked as him. I suppose he needs a lot of farm to be really effective. His moves seem to be a mishmash of other characters (Lion's stun, Anti-Mage's mana void, Bounty's invis with crits). I like his move that is basically a free blade mail, it's pretty useful against characters that have a lot of illusions.

Visage: I had no idea what the hell I was doing with this guy but still managed to go 8/2 or something like that. He has a slow, and then a nuke that may or may not do a lot of damage depending on how much damage your team has received in the area, and his ult gives you extra guys that also have stuns. However, the familiars were much faster than Visage and also sometimes did not follow my commands (such as if I grouped everyone together to focus on one target). Seems like he might be fun once I get the hang of him.

What is a good build for Nyx? I see a lot of int stuff in his recommended items. Is that because of mana issues?

He's the only hero who you should go Dagon on. He's all about burst, he is not a carry. Just don't build him like a standard melee-agi (Battlefury, Vlads, etc.) and you'll be fine, probably.

After Dagon and Arcane Boots, I would usually go Necrobook and Sheep.

So I've been playing Skeleton King for the past couple of days (because I'm too bad to handle more than one active ability) and as usual I followed the playdota guide when it comes to which abilities to upgrade first and using the in game suggestion list for the shop. However, couple of teammates have complained that I'm not getting Vampiric Aura and instead focusing on maxing Hellfire Blast early on(and getting my ulti when I can), am I doing it right or do they not know what they're talking about ?

Oh okay, I guess that's my problem. I was viewing him more as a traditional carry. Sounds like his ult + Dagon will be fun!

I think the reason most guides don't suggest getting vamp aura early on is because your creeps receive that buff as well, which will cause your lane to push to the enemy towers, which you typically don't want early game.
