What the fuck is this shit... i get to server screen and i get a in-game hardware error message says my PC is overheating.... erm no it's not... what game has a right to tell me my PC is too hot and then won't let me play!

Yep, disabling Microsoft Security essentials allowed me to get in game immediately.

The only thing I can hope for is not another repeat of Diablo 3, they stress tested it and even on launch they fucked up and had login issues for days.

Performance is greatly improved. Was around 40fps BWE3 and now 50-80 (50-60 with vsync, ofc).

I have the client as a firewall exception and still getting the error. A lot of people are having the same issue.

If you are getting the overly dark everything when in full screen, make sure to set your gamma to 1.0. Not sure why its defaulting to 0 for some people.

Don't mess around with your PC guys,it's a clusterfuck right now on their side,they said it could be like that...I will try later,twice now I had my PC lock up on the character screen after hitting play and getting the router,firewall,whatever messages...I have to reboot my PC...

if you have anti-virus, try disabling it. my error messages went away after doing that.

They added a checkbox to hide or unhide the Head armor. Shoulder too

If you turn off your firewall while you log into game and then turn it back on afterwards, it works. =/

I tried loading the game client on my work machine, but with download speeds around 300kbps, I'd miss the stress test by a few days.

I don't target with m/kb. Aiming my FoV switches when I need it to. Almost as if my Charr is reading my mind... wait... you don't think ANet... naaah... that technology doesn't exist... right?

Personal experience and what I read in this thread tends to agree, performance has been increasing with every BWE and will probably be improved for launch again

Sounds good my pc should be fine, but I have less fortunate friends(gaming pc wise) that are interested in this as well.

This is really the sticking point for me with controller as well. I could see it being fun and relaxing to play with it in some situations but WvW?
