Yep. It's really said to see. Touting the bibles words when it was the same thing used to justify keeping us enslaved. It makes no sense to me.
One person's misuse of the Bible doesn't excuse the other's.

If that's the life they want to live, then let them live it. Why do you care? What's sad is that there are some gay black men are so deep in the closet because of how ingrained religion is in the culture, that they can be getting hook-ups on the down low on Saturday night, and praising Jesus with all their heart on Sunday.
Hit the nail on the head.
Also gotta love the political expert they found to argue this issue could cost democrats the WH, senate, and house. Come on
What are they going to do if Obama wins, as polls suggest thus far? Obama would have taken the best punch from every aspect of the right, and come out on top. From co-signing gay marriage to corporate money to concern trolling about his patriotism...everything has been put on the table for this election.
The amount of rage, bitter tears, and hatred will truly be a sight to see IF he manages to win

From just three months ago. Poll: Majority Of Blacks Support Gay Marriage After Obama's Endorsement
Attitudes have not shifted among any other segment of the public following Obama’s announcement, including younger Americans, who continue to back gay marriage at the same rate as before, and African Americans, who remain, on balance, opposed to gay marriage.
It's definitely not a life worth living. If that's the life they want to live, then let them live it. Why do you care?
I would really hope people that know about being oppressed first hand would not wish it upon others -_-
Well, Obama sure had some balls to stand up against part of his base for what he feels is right. I probably would not have done it if I were in his shoes.
But despite this guy, Obama's decision to take a stand on the issue does seem to be working alright for him.
Well, their first mistake was adopting the religion of their former oppressors.
Or, they could show them numerous examples all over the world where Christians really are persecuted and killed. Maybe they could then put their effort towards solving those issues.Someone should rob them of their persecution complex. The next time someone goes on Fox news to wail about how Christians are under attack, show them an example of an actual attack, show them an example of a Christian/conservative source using said attack, and demonstrate how they aren't being attacked by whatever is presently offending them. And then watch for blood spurts and shooting eyeballs.
The 24 hour rally round the cross...I mean...it's like reminiscent of something else. The new battle flag.

WUT? How in the hell can a black man get up and say that CFA is being treated like blacks were?
I've had to put with several of my nephews tweets and facebook similar to this. He will argue all day with people that he doesn't hate gays but it is still a sin and they will burn in hell and he is just sticking to his beliefs and etc. He even got a job at Chick-fil-a after graduating high school. He recently posted another spiel about this and ended it with a plea to "just enjoy the damn good chicken and stop attacking their beliefs"
His dad, my brother in law is the pastor at their local church. The part I can't stand about his argument and I see repeated is "Why are people against our free speech, people should be free to speak their mind" yet, you have no problem trampling over other peoples rights to marriage. I mean, you can believe in the Bible all you want, but it says nothing about requiring you to vote against gay rights, thats all on you. His whole family and extended church family didn't vote for Obama last election and from their facebook I doubt they will be this year either.
Yep. That's why I think the legalization of gay marriage will fail here in Maryland when we vote for it in November. It's a real bummer.Like it or not, a lot of black churchgoers and leaders aren't happy with the gay rights movement.

Obama threatening the sanctity "the black family" with gay marriage?
Being black in America with functioning reproductive organs seems to be more of a threat to the black family than being gay.
I'd vote for Obama if he'd pass a law placing the bastard offspring with married gay couples who would spend time raising the kids and giving a shit about them, unlike the dumb shit hetero fuck machines that keep crapping kids out like shitting nickels to get rich quick.
Just to piss people off, and hopefully reduce crime and the burden on tax payers in the process.

It's not cruelty, it's truth. I was rolling my eyes when he invoked gay marriage being a threat to black families lol.I hate to be cruel but the stability of the black family has long been an issue and gay marriage certainly isn't a culprit in fomenting any part of it. They should be focusing their efforts on urban youth and the justice system. These pastors are a fucking joke.
LMAO!"where was the gay community when he was running from president"
this is a guess but im fairly confident that they were
VOTING FOR HIM YOU DUMB MOTHERFUCKER
I've always found the friction between blacks in America and homosexuals quite interesting. You think they would know a little about being outsiders and demonized. *Shrug*

And, no one chose to be gay. Why would anyone wish constant discrimination upon themselves? Go away. The difference is that people didn't choose to be black.

What's with the reporter ending with "We're living in a day where they call what is good, evil, and what is evil, good."? And does the reverend even understand what was happening with Chick o fil?
Also, wtf @ the takeout bandit being racist as fuck
Racist as fuck?
Please.
I live in a majority black city so it is an issue I give a shit about. People raising their god damn kids.
Yep! Raising your kids = Burning crosses.
Welcome to neogaf.
Go white flight yourself then, prick.
Condescending gaf fail! Initiate bullshit protocols!
White flight is for cowards and the affluent.
The cost of living here is affordable. The drive to work from where I live is short. I don't want to be one of those suckers that lives 40+ minutes from my job / home and frequents Applebee's on Friday nights.
