To be honest, I'm not a big fan of online either, and I look down on online tournaments, but mashing week 1 with some other GAF P4U players doesn't seem too bad. I wouldn't take it seriously though, and online tournaments seem like they'd be a hassle to run.
TA Frutsy confirmed on his Facebook that he will be in the "USA vs The World" UMVC3 5v5 representing Mexico/World.
Also, P4A is hella fun. Currently doing the story mode content, I will be really biased towards it here on GAF since the Persona games is pretty much my favorite RPG games, but I'll be pushing it pretty hard in my local scene. AWWYEAH.jpg

Looks like SEGA is fixing the lobbies in FS wiith a patch coming out tomorrow, and a minor training mode fix.

Yep, pretty much why I wanna run it, it'd just be fun mashing and finding out new things with fellow GAF players in a non-serious tourney.

Well it's probably temporary, but AE numbers have gone up quite a bit recently(41 last week, out drew Marvel). This of course is probably due to the Capcom 25th Anniversary Tournament being this weekend. This Big 2 should be one of the biggest in a while IMO with new heads for Persona 4 and a lot of SF4 guys coming out to practice for the 25th Anniversary Tournament.

I hope it doesn't. This is the first mainstream airdasher that I've wanted to play semi-seriously. If this doesn't work out, I'll just have to stick with Street Fighter and poverty games/UNIB if that ever comes out because I wasn't really interested in Continuum Shift.

Wont be out til december, console version probably wont be out til summer. Not much of a big split. Plus BB and P4A don't really play alike so fans of P4A wont ditch it to play BB and vice versa
Yeah, but that doesn't mean it's an ArcSys property.
They've done other licensed fighters like Fist of the North Star and Sengoku Basara X.
It's not as big a deal to ArcSys if people aren't giving Atlus money.

Don't you expect P4A to still be around by then? Also DacidBro, James Xie and a few other guys are huge supporters of BB and P4A. I'm sure that's their market...

I mean but the decisions to produce and publish these games is up to the publisher. Arc System work was contracted by atlus to development persona 4 arena for atlus that doesn't mean they have to put a stop to their own internal projects. The decision to release persona at this time was atlus' and the decision to develop bbcp was arcs'. Arc also developed Sengoku Basara X for Capcom.

Capcom is too busy eeking money out of its fans with $40 expansions that add 12 new characters to make a full-blown sequel that costs the same amount but adds 3 characters, none of which anyone wanted.
That thread is mostly jokes about the next update and dlc characters. There is a location test for it today though.
Why would you want one? Don't you think UMVC3 puts the series in a good place? BB is basically stagnant in the US, so I'd imagine that this is pretty good news for them.

EDIT: Tho I'd think UMVC3 might need at least a patch.
Overdrive system is basically Heat from melty blood + damage boost.
Don't worry, you won't be the only one. I won't even get the game until Thursday or Friday. This GAF tourney might be my first time touching the game. But I'll be playing Chie or Narukami so it's okay.
