Uh because Walter poisoned a young boy to manipulate his friend into helping him kill a person to resolve a situation that he provoked.
 
Maybe Walts cancer is back and he doesn't know yet. I have heard cases of cancer doing strange things to peoples brains because they have a tumor or whatnot......just throwing an idea out there.

She's responsible for endangering her children's life. She's not cooking the meth or responsible for bringing that environment to the household, but she's willingly maintained the secret, and gone as far as become a co-conspirator by creating the business through which money will be laundered.

She's only willing to be moral when it's on her ground and does not effect her personal space negatively, otherwise, she's perfectly fine with degrading the morality, irregardless of its effect on others, as long as her own bubble maintains untarnished.

She obviously doesn't compare to Walt in terms of pure psychosis, but she's still a pretty shitty human being when compared to most upstanding citizens. Despite being knee deep into the situation, if the safety of her children was truly a priority, then she could fix all of this but she refuses to because the end result has effects that are too close to home.

Don't forget her pregnant smoking and the implication that she may have done the same while carrying Walt Jr. That's the unforgivable Black Mark in my eyes.
 
This whole Skyler arc and her arguing with Walt ad nauseum is getting old.

Also, Walt is taking a utilitarian approach: he's trying to do the right thing, even if he has bad motives.

And what do you expect? The wife of a psycho to be super happy and go along with it? I agree that she should do something instead of just complaining but to think that she shouldn't feel that way is ridiculous.

Skylar cheated, was a huge bitch to Walt before he went off the rails completely, is laundering money and was generally a sucky person. However, she has now turned into the victim.

Poisoning Brock is the only thing anyone on the show has done that is worse than smoking while pregnant.

Hell even the psycho cousins going after hank didn't put innocent children in harm's way.


Killing 1000 people involved in the business isn't as bad as giving your own child even a 1% increase of a horrific birth defect.

Did you only watch the last couple of seasons? Skylar was & remains a bitch since episode one.
Walt was still that science professor at heart at the point of Skylar's treacherous actions.
Skylar is clearly the broken lynch pin in the family dynamic. She has been the major catalyst (ranked ahead of illness) that caused Walt to truly live up to the title "Breaking Bad".

I can identify with a man trying to leave something behind for his families future, I cannot identify with a pregnant whore fucking around on her terminally ill husband. (nice touch downplaying that)
Perhaps if you Skylar Squires ever have a major medical tragedy occur & your wife fucks the next man & gives him hundreds of thousands of your dollars you would change your minds.

Get real at the point of Skylar's major transgressions Walt was just a happy go lucky science geek cooking for money small time. His character is that of one that when pressure is on he will overcome with every atom of his being.
All the negative energy spewed into his lap has turned him more negative.


( you act as if Skylar didn't damn near beg Walt to be apart of his business when he left as told & separated it from family, Skylar wanted in on the act. She put herself in so deep that Saul is her lawyer as well.
She brought this upon herself, her character is that of a money hungry coward, who uses those around her for what they can offer. I have seen nothing genuine about her. She is just the dark cloud that pisses on everybody's parade & then says woe is me afterwards wallowing in her own self pity.)

Oh, just remember what I was thinking about Walt the other day that I thought was interesting. There's been a lot of debate about his actions ove the years and people arguing over all the 'evil' stuff he's done, whether what he did with Jane was murder, etc, but one of the things I don't think I've ever seen talked about is that he is personally responsible for putting thousands of pounds of highly potent meth onto the streets of the south west of the USA. I think you could make a case that this is his worst crime, who knows how many lives have been ruined and people killed because of his precious product he's so proud of.

When you have a thread full of people who are constantly trying to one-up each other on how much they totally hate a villain of a television show as some bizarre means of trumpeting their moral superiority, the trolling practically writes itself.

You sure you're not trolling? I really can't fathom someone with any semblance of intelligence being unable to make the distinction that a alternative moral compass is not the equivalent as a complete lack of one.
 
Fantastic episode. Amazing shots. The best of the season so far.

Shame this thread is such a mess after each episode for a day or two because of the whole 'Skyler sucks! How could she do this to Walt?!' cycle we go through each week. I like opinions and all that but this is getting kind of boring. I understand some of it, disagree with most of it but it really shits up the topic too much. :(
 
I can't get over the awesome scene with Skysky in the pool was. The blue glow reminiscent of the meth lab. Walt lying away in the background. Skysky slowly taking off her shoes. Marie with her muffled pleading. Her blue skirt floating around her, like a literal web representing her position in Walt's new blue meth life.

That shit was haunting, and straight out The Shining.

Jane was going to get Jesse killed. Walt couldn't have predicted the plane crash from that. Was done for selfish reasons but I have little to no problem with the results of saving a friend's life over his junkie girlfriend's.


Gale isn't a stupid man. Gale is no different than Gus, or victor, or anyone else in the game. Don't want to get killed in the big money drug business? Don't get involved in the big money drug business. That still goes for Walt, Mike, Jesse, Lydia, Vamanos pest guys, and even Saul and Sky since they willingly involved themselves and profited from it.

I would have said the same thing if Gus had won and killed Walt. I'm more attached to Walt as a character than Gale but if he died from someone else in the business I wouldn't put that anywhere near poisoning brock or smoking while pregnant.

There is NEVER a rational or legitimate reason to harm an innocent child.
 
I wonder if Breaking Bad threads on NeoGAF will ever NOT contain bullshit Skylar arguments filled to the brim with absurd hyperbolic statements and inane "discussion."

It seriously feels like Breaking Bad OTs are constantly on repeat

Noone before or after Jane's death could have predicted the plane. If my dog pissed on the sidewalk in the winter and it froze, then a child slipped on it, hitting there head leading to death does it make me or my dog a murderer of that child? Don't be ridiculous.

It was because she was stressed as hell because her husband with cancer was sneaking out and wouldn't tell her anything. There's just so much one person can take.
