I woke up gay after hearing I had cancer. :(

I don't have cancer. :(
I'm sorry. :(

I'm not sorry. :(

I didn't watch the video, but the idea of a stroke triggering the gay switch in your brain just made me laugh. Very Obsidian like.

My man's been gone for two weeks on vacation with family, and we'd only been dating a month before he'd left. He's back tomorrow. Wonder how things are going to go...

What do you mean you wonder how things are going to go? It's just a two week vacation. I hope things go swimmingly though.

Meet him at the airport when he gets back.

Run towards him, scoop him up in your arms - in slo mo.

Just like the movies.

Completely off topic, but:

So, watched the Hollywood Girl with the Dragon Tattoo movie. Enjoyed it, but I haven't seen the Sweedish version/original movies. Should I?

Also why don't more DVD's come with subtitled commentary tracks? It's like opening a new world for me. :(

Oliver Stone movies seem to be good at that, he's a pretentious twat but interesting none the less.

I haven't seen the Hollywood version yet so I can't help you on that.

Did you talk to him at all during his vacation? If you talked to him fairly regularly during it, I'm sure everything will be fine.

This made me feel awful (reddit I know, fuck it).
I have absolutely no idea how to read Reddit.

I started reading something about an adoptive father whose son came out and I was wondering what the depressing part was and why there was such a huge discrepancy between the content and the title until I realized that the thread title was actually a link to the original post and those were just the comments and who designed Reddit's layout and how do so many people use a site that looks like somebody stripped away all of the CSS from Livejournal?

Wow, what a shitty father :/

Same here. I started reading the story about adoptive father and was actually moved by it. Only then I noticed the link to a picture with the letter.
The site has awful and really unintuitive design.

it's not so bad and then when you find out where the source is you try to read the actual letter from the dad. lol.

I know that a ton of christians are like that, but it still blows my mind how devoted christians can be so unchristian.

Yeah, it's funny how Jesus stated that ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ is the greatest commandment there is, and yet lots of his followers simply ignore this and instead follow commandments from the Old Testament.

Made the mistake of posting in Bishop's tag fishing thread a few days ago. I certainly do feel sore...
You know, I guess I've never really read your tag because I thought it said deeppicked and I assumed that it was just some phrase I'd never heard of. I just realized what it actually said though, and I'm so sorry.

Well, the bible is so inconsistent and contradictory that people can behave just about any way they want and still be able to label themselves christian. This shouldn't be surprising at all.

Reddit is actually fairly easy to read once you get the hang of it and understand that you're not supposed to read it like a message board.

But yeah, that letter is disheartening. I wonder how can some people live with themselves.

reddit is easy to navigate yeah, but you've still got the problem of the users.

While this "Christians" are the worst, theres still something really unsettling about the ones that treat you really nicely, give you support, pick up homeless kids on the street, but at the same time remind you that you are going to hell for being gay when they get the chance.

I have exactly the same problem. I tried reading it. Multiple times. But I guess Reddit is just not for me or something :)

This post is also meant as a sort of kick. lets's not fall into oblivion gay-GAF :(

Im interested in that. But what would they do there. Is it like showcasing games or... something more of a get together. Im not really familiar with any cons so pardon my ignorance.

Yeah not gunna lie, that would be great to just walk around and not wonder "is that dude checking me out"... cuz youll know the answer is YES HE WANTS YOU.

This seems potentially relevant to this thread. I think one game convention a year (PAX East) is probably enough for me, but I'm glad to see it happening and reaching the funding goal so quickly.
I saw this too and was surprised there wasn't a thread about it. I've never been to a convention, and this one sounds interesting, but if I can only choose one, it'll be PAX East for me too.

Alternatively, if nobody looks your way, it'd be devastating.

I was a little confused about that as well. I have a hard enough time trying to figure out what to do at PAX, and that's a convention with tightly packed schedules and lots of events. On the other hand, I could see myself being more willing/comfortable to network & make friends at a convention like this.

It will probably be a much much smaller offering of the same things: board/pen & paper games, tournaments, panels, and probably stuff like bar crawls. Going to the Pokecrawl last year was the most fun I've had in a long time, so I could see a smaller convention with smaller-scale activities being a blast.
