Now is a good time to find a good local, mom 'n' pop pizza joint, GAF.
They tend to taste better anyway.

Why the fuck is every so political nowadays. I just want a fucking pizza, I don't want your fucking politics.
"If Obamacare is in fact not repealed, we will find tactics to shallow out any Obamacare costs and core strategies to pass that cost onto consumers in order to protect our shareholders best interests," Schnatter vowed.
"Our best estimate is that the Obamacare will cost 11 to 14 cents per pizza, or 15 to 20 cents per order from a corporate basis," Schnatter said.
$.15 cents extra per pizza so his workers can have health care sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me.
id rather eat Kroger frozen pizza..
Terrible pizza.
Hot and Ready from Little Cesar being $5 has become the go-to pizza for me.
Papa Johns CEO: ObamaCare Means Higher Pizza Prices
1. Papa Johns Pizza sucks
2. Good for Dominoes and Pizza Hut's business. Go for it, Papa John Schnatter.
3. You are an asshole if you want to shift costs on consumers for giving your employees healthcare.
4. Papa John Schnatter should shut the fuck up.
I would gladly pay less than 1% extra on all my purchases for better and more affordable healthcare for myself and everyone else
Are there people out there who wouldn't?
This is what has always bothered me about publically traded companies in general. One of the most destructive pieces of law ever was the one stating that these companies are legally obligated to make money for their shareholders over all else. This part is what bothers me the most. This is precisely why healthcare shouldn't be put into the hands of private industry. They'll do everything they can to "protect" shareholders, but not everything they can to get healthcare to the very people that make the shit they're selling. It's disgusting.
I find my self prefering Domino's these days anyway.
First post nails it.
I don't really see how this is an outrageous notion. All employee pay and benefits come from the employer who gets money from selling goods and services. I don't know how you can distinguish between "shifting costs onto consumers" and just running a business in a typical profitable way.
I'm not understanding, obviously. Is he being truthful that the costs are going to impact his bottom line?
it's cheap but only good when very fresh. although yeah, if i get pizza then at least 50% of the time it's from little caesar's.

I'm not from the USA, so please excuse me if I'm speaking out of turn or misunderstanding something here, but I find it absolutely torrid that a company would so vocally drag their customers into their politics regardless of their opinion. He "promises" to pass costs on to customers? That just strikes me as being completely unaware of what a customer actually is to them.
I thought the HC reforms are meaningless to big corporations because they pretty much already provide everyone with health coverage.
Business is directly influenced by politics. Not sure why you feel its a new "surge".
Well, tipping goes beyond just restaurants. Hotel workers, caddies, delivery men, cabbies, drivers, house cleaners, movers, etc. all rely on tips. They do it all the time. Just search for the latest tipping thread. Tipping in America is actually a terrible management decision. There is animosity between certain customers and service workers and management is okay with that. And we allow it. Name one other industry where that is acceptable? It's not.
Lol why are people so angry about this? I'll pay the goddam ten cents so that they can have healthcare and wages remain the same.

Wait, people like Little Ceaser's for reasons other then the absurdly low cost? I used to love them but when they went to Hot and Ready their pizza quality took a nosedive. Its like 80% crust now
His home chain is in my city. Heard from a friend before that said he knew someone who used to do coke with 'Papa' John Schnatter. Explains a lot.
That's like the worst ultimatum ever.
"REPEAL OBAMACARE OR WE'RE GOING TO RAISE OUR PIZZA PRICES $0.15 PER PIZZA!"
