Rage? Seriously?

I think Tom Morello would be all too happy to crush a guitar on his head.

Yep, Romney should've run as a moderate and gunned for swing voters. The GOP base won't vote for Obama ever, Romney already had their vote.

Anecdotal, I know, but many people I know who are Republicans said that they weren't going to vote because they disliked Romney so much... I think a lot of people underestimate how much he is disliked by his base.

Everytime I see that Romney/Ryan icon, the only thing I can think of is a pony tail.

Edit: Do NOT search for Romney Ryan on deviantART, NSFW.
But funny.

I'm flabbergasted as to why the Romney campaign would pick someone like Ryan. You can kiss the independent voters goodbye. They're two polar opposites. You're basically giving the election to Obama when you add in social security and medicare cuts.

Seriously, it's like 2008 with Palin all over again.

Forgive me, I'm still on my phone an haven't followed everything--has Ryan indicated whether he'll keep his house seat in the event Romney is not elected? If the GOP holds the house but loses the Presidency he'd have a really excellent soapbox for continuing to oppose Obama and raise his personal profile going forward.

To be fair he is pretty much an unknown to the American public right now. Meaning that he will be defined by the things he says from now on as well as from ads. Romney has such a big money advantage that its possible he could be successful branding Ryan before Obama can.

I am doubtful though.

According to his states laws he can run for both at the same time. Which I assume he will do.

I'm sure he's not going to come out and say it day 1.

I almost want those two to win so that people can see just how bad America will decline(further). Obama isn't perfect, but he's doing the best he can with what he was given. With those two, all I can imagine is another war or two and a deeper social divide.

That article made me nauseous. What an arrogant sounding writer. He's either never stepped a foot out of NYC or is a Brit. I'm guessing the first.

You only think he sounds arrogant because he's disagreeing with your political viewpoint.

I thought his writing was fine and I've read some pretentious ass writing before. FYI, he's British-American.

I think the vast, vast majority of people not voting are doing it out of pure apathy than any kind of political ideologies. I think the black people who voted for Obama last time and not this time aren't doing it because of gay marriage. It's because they really don't give a shit. There is a certain level where it really doesn't matter who is president. Outside of general inflation, I haven't noticed an appreciable change in my life or the lives of my family from the entirety of Clinton, Bush, and Obama administrations. I think that a surprising amount of the population feels like what the cable news networks talk about doesn't really apply to them. So voting really doesn't matter to them, even if they have preferences and policies they agree with. The change in the average person's life is so tiny from administration to administration that is breeds the voting apathy that we are so well known for.

But there is also a large chunk of people who should be in that group, but believe their lives are better or worse based on what cable news is telling them. Like people who fully believe their taxes have gone up when they've gone down or stayed the same.

This has nothing to do with RR.

Nah. This is what turned me off.
"Doubtless, this aw-shucks demeanor is the mask of a professional Midwesterner, but he carried it off effectively"
I can tell the guy has never visited "real" America.

You don't know that, but you also don't need to visit 'real' America, whatever the fuck that means, to know that politicians are actors, which is the basic assertion here.

This is all just to get Ryan exposure for 2016, he knows he doesn't stand a chance with Romney, no worries he's getting huge exposure now for just being on the ticket with RMoney. Romney was never meant to win anything besides the primary, no matter how bad Obama is RMoney doesn't stand a chance. Sent to fail.
