Trying hard for that tag quote, huh?

They had to kill the kid, they've fucked up so much its about time somebody stepped up and didnt let there "morals" cloud the right choice. You dont go half in with this type of life, theres no room for it. Eithier you go all the way in, or you make for another run of the mill show.

All Im saying is, bad guys make movies good and the "good guy" schtick is common and tiresome in almost all TV and movies, bad guys are another demension we never see fully cause theres so many sad sacks who relate celluloid to real life and cant deal with them without them getting thier comeuppance sooner then later.
So many great "bad guys" have let moral choices lead to thier demise, be it Scarface or Walt numerous times.

We all know what will fail, we know the ending cant be flowers and sun shine, but till then the more they all fall into deeper into the darkness, it makes for way better then TV then "Bad guy is bad, good guy is good"

skyler continues to show her complete villainy. kudos to walt for remaining the lone reasonable voice of the show. and to todd, the young go-getter with a heart of gold.

Overall from tonight

The heist, very well done. Although we had 20 minutes left until the end of the episode (including commercials) they did very well to pace it and make sure it didn't seem too short.

The kid? holy shit, i can't wait to see jesse's reaction.

THIS SHOW.

I LOVE Bill Burr. He needs to be on the show more often.

hey, you know, i hadn't even thought about it, but i love when this guy is on screen. you're absolutely right. the mark of a good character actor is that i don't even realize how much they're elevating the material, or how much i'm actually enjoying it, until someone points out just how much they bring. he makes every scene he's in really fun.

Anyone wanna take a guess of what the spider symbolized?

It's kind of funny how Breaking Bad is a perfect measurement of how morally bankrupt you can be.

"How far did you get into Breaking Bad before you started to think what was going was unforgivable and that things had gone too far?"

"Middle of S5"

"Mother of God." *backs away slowly*

He's gonna put a gun in his face and shoot him, but he isn't gonna be nervous and shaky about it. It's gonna be like
Stanley Richmond killing John Goetz
in Jericho.

I'm not reading this thread any more too much trolling. great ep.

Yeah, I hate to say it but the trolls won. It was one horrible thing when they were just victimizing Skyler with their faux (or real I guess) misogyny, but a kid gets shot and they're still going with the gag. It's a little much. I like having a place where I can make my amazing Uncanny X-Force/Friday Night Lights mash-up references without spoiling all of the internet on Twitter, but it's not worth it wading through these fake (and occasionally real) Walt Hero posts.

Congrats dudes, here's a picture for you.

Holy shit, that episode was directed by one of the writers (George Mastras) in his first directing assignment ever.

Uh.. nice rookie effort.

Wow, this dude should be proud.

I figured such a complex episode like this (involving trains and such) would be directed by a season vet, definitely didn't seem like a first time director. Guy did a fantastic job.

You absolutely knew a kid picking up a spider was going to die during that episode? I just get a kick out of the fact that the more shocking the ending, the more people who come post they saw it happening all along.

Yeah like I said they pretty much hit us over the head with it.

I even posted he was gonna see them pull off the heist after the opening.

jesus that music when hank comes back into his office over walt's shoulder

this show is fucking tense

and that opening shot with lydia in the chair was like a horror movie

Tarantula- Ability to Shed the Outer Skin (Masks) and Transform, Creativity, Spinning a Web to Entrap Enemies, Defense of Territory, Intimidation by Size, Use of Environment to Conceal Oneself.

worth mentioning that the walt-jessie-mike trio are currently holding both skyler and lydia under (implicit and explicit) threat of death in to the scheme.
