When Season 4 ended - I really felt like it was the end of the series for me. Every question I had, it answered for the most part. I really had no desire to see where else the story went - because I felt it wrapped up completely. For me at least.
When Season 5 started - I thought to myself, "I guess I'll check it out to see where they head with the story". To be honest, this season really hasn't been 'needed'.
So far it's been 2 heists, no real Saul, Skyler has turned into a caricature, and I'm not sure if I see myself watching the rest.
Don't get me wrong - all the actors are top notch, the show is beautiful to watch, the moments that do work arguably work better than anything else on TV but overall I just don't find this season and the story it is trying to tell as necessary.
Maybe I'll come back when the back half of this season starts.
