Do you guys get an error saying your graphic drivers could cause a problem with the game etc etc when you start the launcher,and to go see their support forum thread about that...?...Nvidia 301.42 here,which are the last non beta drivers.

The latest beta drivers don't get the issue, but nVidia is soon to release 305.xx drivers that aren't beta and that specifically improve GW2 performance.

Switching to 304 beta fixes this issue, Nvidia will be releasing GW2 drivers in a couple days as well.
 
Blizzard just announced the big Mists of Pandaria patch (talent overhaul, account-wide pets/mounts/achievements) will be released on... August 28th.

I knew a lot of people that played WoW ... I don't know any that are going back. In fact Jira is one of those defectors! I hope he doesn't pull a Warhammer ... we all quit and then most of us slowly went back to WoW lol, I blame WAR though ... they had such a kickass start but just couldn't keep it going.

I haven't played in over a year and have no desire myself.

oh gee golly i am so surprised and did not see this coming at all. what a brilliant and unprecedented move by blizzard that was not predictable in the slightest.

Edit: Feigned surprise doesn't come across in text, the all lower caps just comes off as lazy. But trust me, the sarcasm is there.

I remember Blizz doing the same when Warhammer Online and Rift came out. A major content patch or expansion would be timed to release around the same time.

I dunno about others, but for me the sarcasm was flooding from your post in such large amounts that I saw a guy over there building a boat and getting pairs of animal to board it. :D

But it might just be that I know you too well, and that I myself was kind of surprised Blizzard didn't have anything prepared to counter 28th August yet. Now the world makes sense again.

(I feast on their fear... it is delicious).
 
With the game just around the corner, I'm sure there are a few questions and concerns out there. For one, I know several people learned too late that simply trying to create a character on a server locks you into that server, and deleting your character won't fix that. This was very frustrating for my friends, guildmates, and allies during the first two beta weekends, but ArenaNet understands the situation.

First of all, players will be able to move servers at will for a while after release so that they can play with their friends. Since the game is launching with the ability to switch servers, it should come as no surprise that, in the event that ANet needs to open new servers, players will immediately be able to transfer servers (for free if you're coming from select crowded realms). People also have the option to "guest" on servers, allowing them to play with friends from other servers (unless you want to enter WvWvW with them, in which case, you will need to switch servers). That still doesn't fix the "Oops! I created on the wrong server and have to pay for a transfer" situation, so Mike said that ArenaNet will have a warning up after release so that new players will understand what might lock them into a server. However, people playing the beta test will notice that the warning has already been implemented!

Whoa, this is news to me; very nice, that means that, for example, GAF could change servers if Titan Alliance decides to use precisely Stormbluff as its home. I wonder how long is "a while", though.

If Mann v Machine is out tomorrow, I'll probably be doing that instead of the stress test. I know pushing ANet's servers is helpful, but I don't want to burn out on these short bursts. I also have to re-adjust to my keybinds and tweak my keybinds every time. Can't build the muscle memory so I get ornery.
 
There's around 30 people in my guild atm(and growing) all from this area and pretty much no one has hosting capabilities or want to pay for server hosting. In past games most of guilds had it because well, international guild and 80$ a year isn't that bad but here it is kinda annoying and yeah anyway we were wondering what's the best free program we could use for communication that a) doesn't use ton of bandwidth/has high latency and causes lag b) doesn't use 10000000000 mb of ram.

Any ideas? So far I've been recommended Raidcall and C3, latter one was using 250mb ram with 5 people on channel hm

I'm not playing anymore till release! I'm going to deprive myself plus I've mainly been doing the PvE story line and the inevitable toon wipe depresses me. If they are going to do stress tests every other day just release the game to those that prepurchased lol
 
Any place still have this on sale? I was late on gmg i think. I apparently have been told by Spookie I must buy this. Need to save some money but if I can find it on sale i can spend some graduation money!
