It might be stereotypical, but I always assumed there would be higher concentrations of LGBT people in cities and urban areas.
That is very likely. Most gay people probably end up moving to those areas, I think.

Does anyone still believe in the "1 in10 people is gay" statistic? I remember when I was a teen reading this and finding some comfort in it but now with more studies done is this stat still valid?
just wondering, what are your thoughts on smoking?
I think it's a disgusting habit and it's the biggest turn off ever. I have a few friends that do but I'm not gonna try to stop them since I guess it's pretty annoying having people telling you it's bad for you, etc, all the time.
I don't think I could ever date a smoker.
Is that an understandable position? to turn someone down or not date a guy just because he smokes?

Different life situations, different priorities. You can't measure "emotional growth" like that because we're not all living through the exact same situations and we don't all think the same. People should be open about it when they think it's time, IF they want. You can't say I'm not being honest with myself based on your own personal need to come out to the world, because I lack that need. And I'm not hiding to anyone anything that should matter to them, I'm not being unfair to anyone.
I'm by no means trying to minimize the feel of achievement and liberation you people experienced by coming out, just understand it's not the same for everyone.
I'd prefer somebody who didn't smoke, but it wouldn't be a deal-breaker.just wondering, what are your thoughts on smoking?

You don't think that's a bit harsh? I don't think anybody called you retarded, and I don't see the need to make personal attacks on somebody who wasn't malicious to you to begin with.Preach, sister. I don't need the condensing attitude from the 30 year old virgin (er-"not anymore! LOLZ!") and his posse. I've got bigger issues to fry than coming out on a parade float in my pink briefs while naked men dance in the streets to the tune of IT'S RAINING MEN. My sexuality is soooooooooooooooooooooo far down on the "give a damn about" meter that it's kinda funny that some people take it as a slight that I don't give a damn and don't think it's anyone but the person I'm fucking's business that I'm gay as some personal offense.
How about the fact that I get more offended by the assholes that treat me like I'm retarded because I have communication issues? Hmmm? That is a bigger "give a damn" about issue than my goddamn wanting dick.
FAINT!!!!!Guys, I'm eating pizza at a joint and across from me is a sexy doctor in green scrubs and stethoscope. Trying to make eye contact.
People get pleasure out of different things. I'll probably end up a teetotal, as I have enough personal reasons not to drink, but it's something that so many other people enjoy that I don't think it would be particularly reasonable to not date anybody who drinks.I think I could probably handle an "occasional" smoker. I guess sometimes that's part of the "whole package". But I couldn't possibly date someone who smokes all the time.
It's not really about hating the smoke per se, it's just an habit that I will never understand. You're paying money for something that can kill you and the people around you and tastes like shit (not that I've ever tasted it but it's SMOKE!!! burning shit!!!). I guess it's an acquired taste it just seems pretty stupid to me.
Same for drinking, most of the stuff I've tasted TERRIBLE, why do people even pay for that?
And when you get pizza grease all over him, offer to wipe it up with your tongue.Walk up to him and tell him your chest aches while holding an extremely greasy slice of pizza. Breathe heavily and fall down on him for balance. Make it look like you're about to have a heart attack.
Congrats on the sex.
I don't really have a problem with drinking, though I still don't get itPeople get pleasure out of different things. Defensive much?
That's always been a deal breaker for me. Don't want someone I date to even have 1 smoke a year. Can't stand it and don't want to live with someone who does it.just wondering, what are your thoughts on smoking?

I'm 3 months without a cigarette and never felt better.. but my husband, who i would like to quit also, isn't doing it.. but its not really a big turn off.. the smell of cigarettes is enticing to me..

Don't get me wrong, I don't like smoking, and if I was with somebody who smoked, they'd need to do it outside, but I've become so accustomed to cigarette smoke where I live that it doesn't bother me as much as it probably should.Difference between drinking and smoking is that the smell gets into everything. And then there are the stains...
There's really nothing pleasant about it.
I can't stop falling for "straight" guys...
sigh
She did that to a 15-year-old you? Ouch. Did she eventually get over it?
Meet gay guys.

There's a whole thread of 'em.Meet gay guys.
I understand that. My grandfather was a life-long smoker until he died four years ago, and it was awful watching him carry around an oxygen tank. That said, I went to a hotel in a different city for the first time in ages, and when I didn't see people smoking, it kind of freaked me out.Heh, all the power to you. Personally, I just could never deal with it. I have very few dealbreakers and, unfortunately, cigarettes are one of them. Plus, I'm not a huge fan of the long term health implications of smoking. I watched the complete deterioration of said devilspawn of a grandmother and I can't imagine how horrible it would be for someone I actually loved to go through it.
I have several cousins who smoke, but I never catch a whiff of it on them. They do a pretty good job masking it.
While its a huge negative, I don't think it would be a deal breaker for me. What happens if the guy is perfect in every other way? And somehow manages to mask that filthy odor on his breath?
A real dealbreaker is rotten teeth though, no masking that.
That's probably his best photo.
He's an incredibly good looking man, and even though I'm not really one for tattoos, I'm kind of liking the neck tattoo. So guys, about cute guys.

Maybe it's new.Is that neck tattoo real? Googling him I'm not seeing it.
I hope it's not real. It's weird.

I'd be way too afraid of getting a neck tattoo to ever do it. I'm down with having needles stuck in me, but that close to my throat? All it takes is poor aim and the thing's going right in my jugular, and choking up blood in a tattoo parlor is not how I want to go out.
Edit: And there's an 80 post gap between BeesEight and me. You guys need to post more.
