Apparently Combofiend is only signing up for KoF because he doesn't like Marvel anymore.

Combofiend got the biggest nerf between Vanilla and Ultimate, so I don't really blame him.

Don't see how nerfed he was with Nova/Spencer/Hawkeye, he's just salty he could no longer mash crouching L with She Hulk or use her brain dead slide, also that people are now a lot more familar with Spencer. His goal of being able to play all matchups without knowing what derp your opponent is capable of is something that would have never held up to time.

what?

Him and Justin have never really been the biggest mvc3 fans.

That is entirely accurate. Justin did say the game was fun if a bit a cheap.

I still see Combofiend going back to Marvel. No matter what the game, it's gotten the point that playing in the most scripted style is necessary.

It seems to be more about who he wants to play, not who is a good team.

This is what I respect about combofiend, he plays characters he likes. Hell he doesn't even like playing characters that are too cheap/good.

Probably why he dropped c.viper so quick, he knew that character was a problem.

he even said he hated how the game doesn't reward the smarter player.

The smarter player won Evo. At top level play I can't agree with this.

We see why Fchamp is the best marvel player at the moment because of how he controls his matches with smart choices and his method of controlling his opponents options.

Though...I wish combo the bestin breaking through in his Kof game.

Him and Justin have never really been the biggest mvc3 fans.

They were fans of vanilla but they have been extremely slow to adapt to Ultimate. And they still play this game as if they were playing vanilla, while others have been leveling up their tech, destroying Tatsu assists, figuring out anchor Spencer etc.

Is Juliet K a resident of California or did he just come back from Korea a month ago? I think I've seen him at the last 3 runbacks.

Funny because Vanilla MVC3 was garbage, both in features (or lack thereof) and balance and characters.

It's right up there with sfxt, glad they pulled out umvc, even though they did it in the most commercially idiotic method in a long time.

So uh, did this Combo thing happen or no? I mean, does him entering Marvel invalidate the story?

Doesn't make much sense considering his placement at EVO, him indeed making any team he plays work. Guess his post-EVO soul searching isn't going well? "Doesn't reward the smarter player" is a cop out argument too, I don't think that argument would work for any fighting game.

Maybe he should've kept his word and switched back to his MvC2 team.

That's a weird spike for Marvel consider AE only got 35. I'm pretty sure they were neck to neck. AE had unusual player like Justin, PR Balrog, and Flash enter to.

Marvel is always around 50-60. SF4 has seen a dip in numbers since Persona 4 Arena came out, it was in the 40's before.
