Valve has given all Steam accounts access to a Dota 2 Spectator Client which will have access to The International 2 matches and all other tournament matches and replays just like the main client does. They say in the blog update that this Spectator Client will become the actual final Dota 2 client once they expand the game servers.

Thought it was pretty big news so I made a thread about it here.
 
How long has it been since GAF last saw someone as, well, insane is the word I'm going to choose, as meeru? I mean seriously, how many accounts is he on now?
 
Well the TOS states multiple accounts cannot be used, so I brought it forward to a mod and ill either exist on this account or be banned in a few seconds.

If the latter happens, you better laugh at my expense.

if you devoted yourself to playing actual dota, maybe you'd actually be good at the game

all you're good at now is getting new neogaf accounts
 
Looks bad on those two joindota admins who rushed to her defense without proof and tried to bury it. No one in this story comes across well, guy gave her his bank account info? Dumb. She robs him months later after a falling out to buy Diablo 3? Pitiful.

Maybe focus on one item(s) (armor set?) and go all out on it?

The saddest part is the white knighting the jD community has done over the last day over this. The guy came forth with some (albeit questionable) evidence, and then she responded with a couple copy and paste skype convo's. They weren't even screen shots or anything, just a simple forum post. Right away the mods/white knights starting laughing at the guy and claimed that she was innocent. Good thing the guy decided to post it on reddit.

man....ive been getting MM with all dudes with 100+ wins and its ROUGH (i only got like 60)

I know the MM doesn't strictly go by wins/losses and these dudes could have a billion losses but the fact these dudes have over 150 games (probably closer to 200-225) just puts them streets ahead of me in just general DoTA experience :/
 
Meeru is legion. Guess $3000 doesn't go a long way.

I really wonder if Valve will launch the full game this year or if we will have to wait until 2013. I just hope their servers are ready.

Don't think they will mind the swearing, Gabe isn't scared to drop the F bomb either. At the same time I think they want this to be fun and entertaining. I loved ROG because it had great personalities, much better than the regular NA SC2 events.

Also I'll be at TI2, thinking of grabbing all Dota related swag and doing a give away here.
 
The spectator client seems to indicate that they might be ready (or at least very close) to launching the game into open beta after TI2. Or it's just a great way to convince people to pay for early access.

Either way, exciting times a-coming.
 
I love 2GD, and much prefer your average casual EU lan setting to the overly "professional" and NFL wannabe MLG/IPL stream, so I ain't complaining.
 
Asked this in the other thread, I wonder if people attending will get any special ingame item like the ones you get in Blizzcon goodie bags?

I randomly tried out Drow Ranger, I doing pretty good may move onto PvP..

Thing is I thought you could change the items in the cat @ shop (like core items etc etc)?

I would like to change a few things and I have a questions..

I get the upgraded boots, magic stick, the helm with +dmg catsyl thing and life steal helm..than thats about it.

I typ go for max frost arrow 1 lvl of silence max phy dmg aura max agil aura than pump into stats (not in any order but typ silence first, aura twice, arrow, etc)


But my main concern is items! What do I get after them catlst thingy

I can barely decrypt this but I'll try and help..

Don't max frost first. It doesn't give extra damage so it's pointless. I get 1 level of aura, then silence, frost, then max aura. Helm of the dominator. Agility boots. Manta style. Then s and y (I think). Then it's over. You win.
 
Sorry I try again.

You know the tab(or pane) when you hit shop and on the left side it has many sections..I thought you can change the items there instead of having to look through the shops pages itself.

I don't max frost arrow til later...but items. I first typ buy the regular boots (speed increase). After that I buythe stick with +3 to all and charges. Than I upgrade the boots to the little bit faster, damage and something else on it (lol). Than I go for the helm of domination(think that is name) where it has lifesteal on it. After that I buy this catsyl (or something item) adds dmg and crit. After that I do not know what to buy...I can get past 8K after this =S.
 
Just buy whatever the hell is on the suggested box to the left if you don't know what the items do or don't have a build in mind, works for me anyways.
