Hank knows who's it is, he commented on it when Walt came to cry crocodile tears at him.

Did someone say that there was some point in this episode where Walt seemed disturbed by what happened to the kid? Because I musta missed that.

The dinner scene was so great. First time Jesse's been funny in a long time. Also really great to see Jesse's conscience figure strongly into things in a way that isn't a total breakdown. He knows what he's in on is wrong.

Walt told Jesse he understood his feelings and hadn't slept in days since the kid was killed...Which even Jesse started to realize was a crock of shit when he saw Walt whistling while he worked.

That dinner scene was amazing.

Good episode. Then again, they're all good. Mike's gonna die. It almost seems a certainty at this point. I can't imagine Walt being happy with having his life threatened that many times by someone. Truthfully, Mike would deserve it too. He doesn't call the shots, Heisenberg does. He's gonna boxcutter his ass.

Skyler's time is near an end too. I'm sure she's pissed about Walt talking about Ted, but she kinda crossed the line. She clearly doesn't mind taunting someone she claims is dangerous. We'll see how that works out. I think Mike is gone by season's end, and Skyler sometime next season.

Just saw the preview. It looks interesting. Shit should really come to a head soon. Walt's not stupid and can outsmart Jesse and Mike. It annoys me more and more that this season is gonna end up being so short now. I want to get a resolution to everything asap.

Anyone think Hank and Gomi are acting on those recordings? I'm always suspicious when we don't get some spliced footage of the conversation happening live. Something doesn't seem quite right.

Lastly, I'm kinda disappointed in how little of Todd we got. I figured a bigger deal would be made of how last ep ended. I guess if Mike goes, Todd has a way in, since I'm sure his dad's prison connections mean connections to distribution.

Oh yeah, once Walt knocked the coffee pot across the room, I thought he should use the cord as a plasma cutter, which he did. I actually thought his best bet was chewing through the plastic ziptie, but I guess using a homemade arc cutter looked cooler, which it did. SCIENCE BITCH! PEACE.

Brilliant episode.

My only issue was Mike leaving Walt tied to a heater with a vacuum tie. He's supposed to be a professional, a seasoned veteran who doesn't make mistakes, and he leaves Walt in such an easy position to escape? It was disgustingly convenient, and uncharacteristic of Mike.

I've said this time and time again but Mike has always made the same mistake that Gus Fring did. He is underestimating Walt. In fact, pretty much every single person on this show is making that mistake. Yes he thinks he is more than he is, but at the same time, everyone else thinks less than what he is.

Walt's bumbling around at times probably lulls everyone to sleep, and they forget he's actually a genius underachiever. He can think circles around everyone else, but they continue to underestimate him. That frail appearance gets them every time. PEACE.

I find it funny how Todd was basically echoing the Team Walt audience that so badly thought he should be killed.

Yep, I caught that. I was including it in scenes that do not show Walt being sad/angry/upset about it. ;)

I think Walt looked bothered by it in the opening when they're dismantling the bike and everything. Certainly nowhere near as much as it bothered Jesse, but a touch bothered by it.

There's a difference between underestimating Walt, and having a plastic vacuum tie be the only thing stopping Walt from stealing the methylamine. That's a situation that even a child could manage to break out of.

he was definitely uncomfortable with what was happening during the cleanup, but not enough to lose sleep over it lol. He knew it was the only option that had no chance of biting them in the ass.

tbh I wouldn't know how the hell to get out. Those things are crazy strong! The real mistake was not locking in both his hands.

Cops use thinner zip ties than that to restrain criminals. Zip ties look weak, but are nigh impossible to pull apart once cinched. The only thing is cuffs can't be cut by an electric arc that weak. Maybe he didn't have cuffs, but I'm sure he didn't anticipate him having access to something capable of cutting the plastic. PEACE.

He looked like he was solving a puzzle to me. Worried about how to break it down and hide it.

Try it some time, I dare you.

But yeah, Mike should have done both hands.

Leave myself zipper tied one handed in a surrounding area full of fucking objects? I'm 100% positive that I'd manage to break out of such an ordeal if it were important enough.

I personally would have shattered my glasses and tried to cut through it that way.

I don't know why you guys are apologizing for that particular scene. It was uncharacteristic of Mike, overly convenient and lazy writing at its worst.

Again, I dare you. Double dog dare you.

Why would I? Such a dare does little to dispel the validity of what I've said. If keeping someone away from something in the building they're bounded within is crucial to your long term financial viability, then it is stupid to only tie one hand of that person, and leave him unguarded in an immediate filled with objects that could potentially give them a chance to escape.

Yea, Mike being the pro that he is, should of properly secured Walt.

your overselling how easily walt could get the objects. He obviously couldn't really reach anything and he only got lucky that he managed to get the wires.

I do agree that he should have tied both hands however.

As soon as Walt finished looking through the door when he was tied up and he slumped down for a moment, I knew Mike was as good as dead. He made Heisenberg look like a bitch, and Walt won't stand for that.

mikes gonna regret not pulling that trigger huh

Killing Walt would have brought more heat on Mike, as Skyler would no-doubt be able to implicate at least Jesse and Saul, who both lead to Mike. Plus, he wouldn't get a dime from the sale of the methylmene, and wouldn't be able to pay off the guys in jail who are also linked to him. It would have been a move strictly out of anger that he would have regretted even more than not killing Walt. Then again, if Walt kills him, it's easily a bad move.

If you're gonna restrain someone, you want an immovable object, and a radiator is as immovable as they get, since it's tied into the plumbing. He might also not have thought about his meeting when he decided to jump Walt on short notice. Him apologizing to Walt suggests he only did it as a necessary measure, and so that might also explain why he didn't use two hands. Still kinda dumb. PEACE.

Why would mike kill walt? Jesse would flip shit.
i thought jesse was pretty much like 'welp, fuck it mister white you're nuts and i'm moving on' now

i was secretly hoping during the scene that walt was gonna break the coffeemaker and stab mike when he got back, might have been too on the nose

Jesse and Walt have been through far too much for him to just write him off like that at this point, though he is atleast starting to see how dangerous he's becoming with the nonchalant whistling and the "empire" stuff.

Ok Walt is officially an idiot and lost his mind. He brings up how skylar wants him dead....but if he took the 5 million he would be getting out of the business and things would be safer..and over..And I would assume she would let the kids come back.. He's just trying to make up for the grey matter crap.

skyler wants walt dead tho

edit: maybe not through murder cause that will lead to all kinds of investigations and leading back to skyler

Mike's is definitely gone, and Todd will step in. When I heard prison connection I thought of it as a way for Walt to eliminate Mike's guys. The supplier lady (forgot her name) knows where to find them.

One constant throughout the series is Jesse always shows sincere empathy & remorse when lives are lost. From Krazy 8, to Combo, to Jane(obviously), to the passengers of Wayfarer Flight 515, to Jane's dad, to Tomas, to Gale, to little Drew Sharp most recently, Jesse was noticeably affected by each death. Contrast that with Walt...

Some may call it sociopathic, some may call it cognitive dissonance, I like to call it LOOKING ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
