the ultimate twist would be if Jesse was a DEA agent the entire time

last conversation:

*jesse catches walt*

Walt: ...how long have you been an agent?
Jesse: Let me ask ya somethin', Mr. White
Walt: ....?
Jesse: When did ya start thinking that I wasn't an agent? First time you saw me, I was escaping 'em. Didn't you think that was like, to easy, yo?

*fade to black*

FREEZE IM A COP

Something next week is going to kick Hank's investigation into high-gear.

Or at least something needs to. If there's anything that disappoints me with this season thus far, it's the lack of Hank.

The other replies pretty much took care of this question, but yeah definitely for his ego. He's power hungry. He wants an empire where he has control, like he would have had he stuck with Grey Matter. Also he doesn't want to make the same mistake twice. He wants to be the best at his game as he can be.

Yep, this. I think at first I was mad that they put the obvious out right there for him to pass up but now I like it. As if you needed Vince to drive home what Walter is now and how he thinks. It was the best ending possible, lots of money, they could all just walk away and have plenty but it hasn't been about the money in a long time. It's been an amazing transformation.

Jesse catches Walt? JESSE CATCHES WALT?!?? Dude's got enough on Walt to lock him up for 18 centuries and he still hasn't made a move yet !

Hank is an annoying asshole hopefully he gets killed soon. The Walt/Jesse/Mike triumvirate shall not be overthrown.

Not a chance.

Mike wants out, Jesse wants out, leaving Walt the only one left with any passion or prospective outlook for the business. The dream is dying, Rome is burning, and the "triumvirate's" day's last glimmer of light is nearing its end - and there's nothing you can do about it.

I used to like Walt. He has now become a power hungry megalomaniac. Too bad. Hope his world comes crumbling down soon. Jesse is so gullible and Walt continues to play the shit out of him.

Either everyone else finally abandons Walt or he gets them all killed and is left alone. I keep hoping that flash forward is Walt's blaze of glory and not a wimpering attempt to save himself. Maybe he can save Jesse and his family and at least leave them alive and safe and all he has to do is gun down a warehouse full of guys... :(

Breaking Bad is the most terrifying show on TV. I get so nervous watching episodes now.

A crueler twist would be Walt Jr. getting killed due to meth-related violence.

NOTHING STOPS THIS TRAIN.

Not until Walt rights every wrong. Beginning with handling unfinished business: "taking care" of Gretchen and her loving husband - because when it comes to Gray Matter, the decision is black and white. Once Walt gets his, only then will he let burn the blazing fire of his demise.

Fuck I hope not. I've been ok with every awful thing that's happened in the context of the show, but if Walt JR, Holly, or Marie got killed I would got feel like shit. Skyler isn't on that list only because she knows and could have stopped it. She isn't responsible but if anyone that's totally innocent and doesn't understand what's going on died I would be pissed.

I seem to recall a kid on a dirt bike...

I want to feel like shit by the end. I want Walt's family to suffer because of his arrogance and ego, I want Jesse to hurt when he realises he's been lied to and manipulated by the man that was something of a father figure to him. I want Hank to be betrayed and possibly killed by his brother-in-law who's been under his nose the entire time.

Then I want Walt to truly feel the impact of his decisions and go out in a blaze of glory, shedding a tear just before he dies for the family he started his journey to help but ended up destroying.

It's incredible.

They've made Walt as ferocious as a lion. Every time he steps into a room with someone, you're afraid he's going to kill them.

Yeah that's how a feel. Last night's episode was almost unsettling to watch for me because I was in constant fear that he was going to kill Mike or Jesse.

I seem to recall a kid on a dirt bike...

Yeah, but really main characters we've been with since the start, the ones we've grown with. That kid dying is horrible (the last kid was a lookout/killer himself) but it doesn't have the impact of Walt jr Dying. Honestly, as soon as they panned to show that kid, I knew he was done.

I gotta say that whole dinner table seen was out of this world, it was the very definition of awkward. Oh and Walt is officially on a self destruct countdown.

"I'm in the empire business" tick tock, tick tock, tick tock...

walt has been in self destruct mode since episode one. He is just pressing on the gas now.

But are the writers of this show seriously trying to tell us that Jesse is a type of person who sees the right from wrong, (better than Walt can) get effected by it, is a deep thinker when everyone else around him is stressed and arguing and comes up with clever ideas, but yet he can't simply have dinner with Walter and his wife without acting like a 12 year old handicapped child?

That dinner scene was a bit over the top and waaay too (comical) over acted by Jessie. You think by now he'll learn how to keep his composure and be cool. It's just Mrs. White for fuck sake.

How bitter would some of you be if the final scene of this show, Walt lives but knowing Hank would stumble onto the scene of his latest wreckage (which lets face it, there will be one), he leaves Hank a clue, like the watch. And then it all hits him and the Saw music starts playing. And then it just fades to black.

what if.... in the final episode Walt and Hank have a conversation in which Walt is making up all sorts of stories out of the things in Hank's office and then, just after Walt leaves Hank puts all the pieces together but Walt is already gone? I'm pretty sure nobody's done something quite like that before.

The Usual Suspects cannot be replicated, it is one and only. lol

What if at the end of the series, Hank gets a box delivered to him, says "what's in the boooooox?!", opens it up to find Walt's head in it, and then the scene switches to a turtle crawling along before credits roll.

the finale of the show is going to be walt shooting meth.

Is that how you do meth?
I don't think it is

whatever happens, Kevin Spacey should be involved.

I think the writers of the show believe, to some extent, in the idea of tabula rasa. That is, the young are inherently moral. The show uses children as a symbol of virtue.

Jesse, being the most capable of moral decisions of our protagonists (even if he doesn't always make them), would thus be childlike in a lot of ways.

I actually find it a bit weird that people feel like Jesse has matured, to be honest. He seemed perfectly in character in the dinner scene to me.

Yeah I'm kinda bummed that Hank's "promotion" was just a convenient way for the writers to sideline him from the story and stall for more time. I was hoping Hank would be a lot more active this season.
