always great.

So crazy thinking time. Anyone else think Jesse and Mike got busted or something by DEA and they're playing Walt (which would explain Walt escaping that room because that sloppy tiedown really WAS uncharacteristic of Mike) to plea for a deal? Either that or they realized Walt is cuckoo (remember the whistling scene) and they are plotting against him before Walt gets them all killed. What if the flashforward in the beginning was because Walt was going to kill Jesse and/or Mike? Call me crazy but I can see this happening

Seriously there are hints man, that fucking whistling :o

This ep kind of felt like a bottle episode compared to last week.
Well after that last one :p

But it definitely had a ton of story progression. Things are coming to an end... I'm sad because of it but at least we still have the feeling for a year.

Episode 8 better be a fucking banger and not some whimper BS so we can look forward even more

- NY Magazine: See Thirteen Pieces of Colorful Breaking Bad Fan Art
Vulture attended Saturday’s preview of the "Breaking Bad Art Project," a curated collection on display in Los Angeles’s Gallery 1988. Presented by Breaking Gifs, a site launched by comedian and Breaking Bad super-fan Paul Scheer, the exhibit (which includes a piece by Christopher Monro DeLorenzo, above) features a mix of fan art and works Scheer commissioned from sixteen artists and graphic designers depicting some of the show's most memorable scenes, characters, and moments. “I was a little late to the party vis a vis fan art,” series boss Vince Gilligan told us. “I don’t usually use the Internet much other than for porn, so I don’t ever look up Breaking Bad. To now see this wonderful, very creative, very skillfully executed artwork derived from this show we all work on? It’s mind-blowing.” Stars Bryan Cranston, Bob Odenkirk, Betsy Brandt, and RJ Mitte were also on hand to gawk and make purchases. (Proceeds go to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Barbara Slovis, the mother of Breaking Bad cinematographer Michael Slovis.) We asked them to tell us about the pieces that struck them and why.

Mike's pretty much always thought Walt was "cuckoo". And yes, this episode was Jesse's first real clue that Mr. White may have lost his moral compass a bit.

But no, they're not working with the DEA, that would make no sense with the information we have, and the show has never been interested in "twists" like that, anyway.

Prediction time; I don't know any spoilers, don't flip out if I end up being right, etc.

I think there's a pretty decent chance that Walt will end up being caught at some point before the end, and if he does, the very first thing he'll do is use his masterful lying skills to rat out and pin the blame on anyone and everyone around him. He'll cook up a story that implicates Jesse/Mike (whichever is still alive) in all the drug related activities, and pin everything else on Skyler (money laundering, and whoever else he ends up killing or incapacitating between now and then...most likely Hank). Skyler's book-fixing for Ted and her new, dramatic "mental problems" seem like the perfect setup for her being framed like this, and her openly wishing death upon Walt just begs for a fucked up reply from Heisenberg. We've seen Walt cross just about every moral line there is; the only thing that's left is for him to do something extremely fucked up to his own family...

That's true, I still could see a killer twist coming just for the end, but maybe not in the way of the DEA mole type

Walt is so beyond fucked up that him showing any sign of wanting redemption now would itself be a twist, fucking loved that gun point pic showing the comparisons. Also I think if we knew what the personal issue was over the company share he didn't get we might get some more info. The whole story might just be cooked up to convince Jesse but maybe it's the root of his all evil or something. Really hope they address things like these even if they won't be necessary for the ending

It's pretty obvious that the fly really isn't going to contaminate anything even during "Fly".

Jesse says they poison to people who don't care. It's just Walt being a crazy asshole trying to focus on the one aspect of his life he's in control of.

God I absolutely love how had am is bashing dish. That new commercial where they ask you to let your neighbors with dish watch at your house. So good.

Breaking bad. Amc is the best

I love this one.

Where are these from?

Can't find where I read it, but there's the theory that Jesse was just playing along with Walt and there was no fly. Fly=his prideful drive to perfection that can't ever be satisfied. Jesse kills the fly right as Walt passes out.

Not sure if I agree with it, but interesting, nonetheless.

- AMC: Madison Gate Records to Release Breaking Bad: Original Score From the Television Series
Madison Gate Records will release the soundtrack album entitled Breaking Bad: Original Score From The Television Series on Tue. Aug. 28, 2012. The recording features original music by Dave Porter from all five seasons of the Emmy Award-winning and critically-acclaimed television series. The album will also debut never-before-heard music and extended versions of fan-favorite cues.

Porter comments, "Composing the original music for Vince Gilligan's Breaking Bad has been an incredible experience, and I've had the pleasure of reliving it while creating this compilation. I've selected a few pieces of music I wrote for each season that seemed to resonate the strongest. Some are personal favorites, others are cues I'm often asked about, and most correspond to pivotal moments in the show."

"Dave is a very gifted composer and his unique approach to scoring -- utilizing the dobro, the Japanese koto and other non-traditional instruments -- creates a perfect backdrop for the Breaking Bad series. We're thrilled to be able to finally offer fans of the show a collection of hand-picked, score tracks from all five seasons," says Madison Gate Records executive Shelly Bunge.

I wouldn't mind that. Maybe Walt has to escape and it picks up close to a year later. He's hunted by the DEA, the other distributors and who ever else. Everyone knows what he did and the last 8 episodes are him trying to... hell I don't even know. He does still hve the Recin. I assumed he was going to use that to make it look like Skyler commited suicide.

But shouldn't we see more of Walt being Heisenberg? We saw so much of Mr. Chips. We need more Scarface.

Maybe. I think Walt's behavior as the boss has been show quite well. With everything that has happened in this show (and still needs to happen) I think the last 10 episodes are going to be pretty tightly packed. Maybe we get these last 2 eps to show off Scarface, but then it's all downhill IMO.

I was thinkin: A scene with Hank having a flashback to all of the things Walt has done where he should have known what was up would be kind of cheesey, but it would be funny as well. FFS when hank figures out Walt crashed on purpose and injured him again it's going to be the best Hank face ever.

Oh no, I meant thinking it's great. It's ridiculously annoying IMO. It's funny how ridiculous AMC is though, I will admit.

I don't mind it but that ad went the extra mile so much i had to laugh more than usual.

Whats weird about the ad is that the intended target doesn't see it unless they are hanging somewhere else. If they showed that ad on other channels Dish still shows it would send a stronger message imo.

he doesn't need to leave behind heisenberg, just walt. a complete shedding of his past and transformation into a tyrant. the final episode is him buying the weaponry at denny's and going out like scarface.

Just finished watching the latest ep, and thought it was brilliant.
The scene with Walt freeing himself was the only complaint I have really, it didn't feel like Breaking Bad at all. This season seems to have had a few of those moments but it's still been great.

I just got one of my friends hooked on this show. And soon I will get my brother. I feel accomplished.

Awww, it's like Blue meth dealers must feel when they snag a new customer.
Damn show really is like meth. When I got hooked I was up two days watching episodes. It got so bad I couldn't even function unless someone made me breakfast and yelled "BITCH!" at me.

Part of me wonders if someone puts a gun to Walt's head and finally pull the trigger. We've seen the progression, he seriously doesn't care anymore when a gun is put to his head; it's fine as long as the Walt has some leaverage against the person with the gun.
