I came in late too but from what I heard, Fanatiq was criticizing TheAnswer for making claims about John Nelson/TL based on hearsay. Part of the reason the KOF community left the tournament was the lack of setups (along with the problem regarding the pot) but Fanatiq said there were 10 setups ready for KOF. The answer then asked Fanatiq about getting their venue fee back and that's where things got kind of crazy.

I would hate to have that competitive perspective where money does become an influence and a "priority." Saddening really.

This is why I didn't want to make a career out of art, I prefer some things to stay as hobbies before they get corrupted by systems.

Maybe if I had the mental endurance to keep it from being a chore at some point and it wasn't so sensitive to factors out my power, sure.

Yeah you learn a lot about it in Psychology, and this kind of stuff and pressures can actually negatively affect performance and desensitize you to the enjoyment you actually get out of something. No thanks. Some passions can work as careers, unfortunately, I don't see it in video games.
