Something lurks in the dark corners of space, something powerful enough to kill a Reaper. Shepard must discover the most closely guarded secret in the galaxy before the Reapers silence it forever.

Mass Effect 3: Leviathan expands upon the events of Mass Effect 3, with gripping and emotional storytelling, compelling new characters, and powerful weapons and upgrades. Discover more about the origins of the Reapers as you race across the galaxy to find the Leviathan. Travel to new systems, wield the AT-12 Raider Shotgun and M-55 Argus Assault Rifle, and unravel the dark history of the Reaper Race before it is too late.

On Aug. 28th there is no war, only the harvest.

Trailer is slightly extended compared to what was shown at the EA Summer Showcase

I'm interested in the story, I just don't want to shoot any more of those dudes. I was really tired of cover based shooting after the main game, so a trailer full of shooty splosions doesn't do it for me.

Am i imagining this or is the trailer hinting at solo section?

Arrival was okay but i really don't want another solo mission in ME series.

I will buy this as i love having more Mass Effect, but i can't help but laugh at the "something powerful enough to kill a Reaper" when we already have the fucking Crucible that can either shut them all down or make them your "slaves". I wonder what kind of excuse Hackett is going to make to convince Shepard to go over there when they already have that.

"Commander, i know we already have the Crucible, but we have no idea what it really does to Reapers and to us, so go there and i find that thing in hope it works better."

I hope its not solo only.... but i'm pretty interested in this (since i'm partly through a second play through.. this will give me the motivation to continue it)

Same here. BioWare already burned through any goodwill they earned in the past. Thanks, but no thanks.

You know, I'm not quite there yet, but I can feel where you are coming from.

Amazing too as I really enjoyed 1 & 2 even with their flaws. That ending to 3 though...

If I can convince myself to do another play through of three, I will get this.

Unless this is extremely cheap (price-wise), I don't see the point of buying it. It's not like this DLC will change the story in any shape or form towards the end.

not sure how this is relevant to me since, you know, we eliminated the Reaper threat and all. Still, day 1 because my wife and I love the series. Gotta scrounge up some spacebucks for it, though

oh look

the same boring enemies

Did you really expect new enemies? None of the past ME2 DLCs introduced new enemies. Well they introduced the Yahgs with the Shadow Broker boss, but that's it. And ME3 enemies are still more interesting to fight than what ME2 had.

Not interested. Completed ME3 100% a few weeks ago, Extended Cut DLC was somewhat satisfying (I had closure) and I'm done with this game.

I just can't muster any exitement for this. If I thought the DLC might actually have an impact on the outcome of the story (specifically the ending) I might be interested.

I am the only one who hopes following lines will be in the DLC:
"Normandy has landed." "No. It's an invitation." "We were so wrong. So wrong."

Not sure but the trailer gave me a big Prometheus vibe. I'll wait the DLC if I can snag for cheap at a DotW promotion.

I downloaded the free extended ending and can't be assed enough to play through it. Doubt I'm going to pay cash money to do the same.

I think I'm done with the ME series. Sad way to go out.

Good

What's the point of pre-ending DLC for this game?

Shepard is dead in the end,
how could they make a DLC that happen after that? They never made you control someone else other than him/her in the past.

Well, i guess they could always make an exception someday, but the fact that they send you right before the Cerberus base when you beat the game tells me they won't. Who would want to redo two old missions just to do a post-ending DLC? Hm... i guess the extending cut would count, and that wasn't even playable DLC. :lol

The "how" for post ending dlc is no more ridiculous than the "why" for pre-ending dlc. As it stands, the content already in the game barely does anything to the story, why add more?

If BioWare did not completely and utterly screw the pooch in terms of the War Asset system, then DLC like this one would have had more of a meaning.

But unless this is either cheap or the second coming of Christ, BioWare isn't getting any more of my money for right now.

Lair of the shadow broker proved that they can do really interesting one off stories set in the universe with very little ties to the main story.

Not that this looks like it will be that or anything. At this point the best place to go with the series would be a major GTA4 style expansion or a Fallout:New Vegas style sequel.
