You see its good writing, that makes you sympathize with his "plight" but Walt could avoid all those deaths.

S1 - could've called cops on the dude he killed. Has remorse killing him, but this is where I felt he became heisenberg. To continue with making meth and not dying with self-guilt he was already a hardened asshole and it set the tone for everything else to follow. (Good on Gilligan to get him to "kill" someone so early in the series).

S2 - Doesn't save her, has no regrets. Asshole.

S3 - Eliminates the two people for Jesse, shoots them in cold fucking blood. Gale death not withstanding.

S4 - Kills Gus, who wanted to kill him because he knew how unhinged and dangerous Walt already was (tricking jesse to kill Gale). Both men were justified to kill each other, if we are to take this angle.

S5 - After Gus, he has earned his "kingpin" status as he believes. Has Skylar and Jesse by the balls and emotionally manipulates them.
You forgot that in S4 he poisoned a kid to further his agenda.

The man was going to kill him as soon as he took the handcuffs off.

S2 - Doesn't save her, has no regrets. Asshole.

She was going to either get both her and Jesse killed through Od-ing, or would have blackmailed Walt when she ran out of drug money. She turned out to be a massive bitch and Walt showed remorse when it happened and after during a few scenes in the meth lab

S3 - Eliminates the two people for Jesse, shoots them in cold fucking blood. Gale death not withstanding.

he kills two people that murdered a child in cold blood, and does so to save Jesse's life when he doesn't have time to stop Jesse from stupidly going to shoot them

S4 - Kills Gus, who wanted to kill him because he knew how unhinged and dangerous Walt already was (tricking jesse to kill Gale). Both men were justified to kill each other, if we are to take this angle. Gus made the decision to kill Walt when Walt saved Jesse's life, how much of season 4 did you watch?

Walt didn't 'trick' Jesse into killing Gale, he didn't intend to get stopped outside his house by Mike, after all

S5 - After Gus, he has earned his "kingpin" status as he believes. Has Skylar and Jesse by the balls and emotionally manipulates them.

Skylar has been emotionally manipulating Walt for some time as well, it's only after she gave him the 'I'll be whatever kind of partner you want' speech that he finally gave up on her and keeping the family together. He was ok with the divorce until she refused to let him see his children.

Your last sentence, and the death of the girl in season 2 are the only ones with some merit, the rest are extremely flawed[/B]

You forgot that in S4 he poisoned a kid to further his agenda.

If by 'agenda' you mean saving his life and the life of his wife, son, two month old daughter, and probably hank and Marie.

The decision to kill harmless Gale in an attempt to stay in the game--even though he didn't have a chance to follow through--is I think my own personal line in the sand for Walt. I just can't excuse picking murder to save your own ego (because Walt's smart enough to know he could cut an epic deal with the DEA in exchange for demolishing the Fring operation

This is a point I bring up with my friends semi frequently. Though at this point he still had 'Walt' left in him and like Skyler, didn't want his children to find out.

BY2K, when you get into the early parts of Season 3, be ready to feel hatred unlike anything you've ever felt while watching television before.

Without spoiling anything, I'll just say that a character commits what is probably the most rage-inducing act ever committed by a tv character.

More like satisfying. How anyone can feel sorry for Walt after he refuses to comply with Skyler, when she's already been made out to be a monster to her entire family...

Oh you Walt apologists...never get old.

Both Fring and Walt wanted to kill each other off. Both knew that the other was too dangerous.

But Jesse was not going to kill Walt. Poisoning someone that is dear to the person who stands between you and death is an asshole thing.

He poisoned a kid who had nothing to do with their affairs. Walt has no control over the kid's immune system - for all he cares the kid could've died. He wanted to turn Jesse against Fring. Fring played it clean by leaving the choice to Jesse. Walt played it dirty by manipulating Jesse through poisoning a child.I still can't believe you guys are trying to justify that.

Sure, but Walt setting up Gale's murder happened after Jesse's confrontation with the two thugs.

What I'm saying is that if Walt had just allowed Jesse to (almost certainly) be killed by those guys, Gus would have left him alone. So essentially, Walt put his life completely on the line for Jesse, and the entire conflict in Season 4 comes out of that decision.

Gus might not have touched him but he was still marked by the Cartel (Gus said they could go after him once Gus was done dealing with him) and Gus learnt about his cancer (getting Gale to learn from him till then) so eventually i feel his luck would have ran out eventually.

Once he killed the guys to save Jesse everything started to crumble and his "safety net" went through the window.

Given what was at stake here he took a huge gamble that luckily paid off (he was ready for his fate and family's until he saw that shit).

Still the most desperate thing he has done since making the decision to sell meth.

I recently re-watched season 1 and 2 and only then noticed that Hank mentions that Crazy8 was working with them the whole time! He was their snitch. I never realized when I originally saw it way back when.

There is nothing to be made when you have cold hard facts - Skysky is a monster.

[quote="blame space, post: 41414110"]man I'm watching the one where jesse saves the kid and the ATM happens. it's a great episode.

Easily the best episode as far as emotional impact goes.

"In World War II, the Germans had an artillery piece, the biggest in the world, called the Gustav Gun. It weighed a thousand tons. The Gustav was capable of firing a seven-ton shell - and hitting the target, accurately, 23 miles away. I mean, you could drop bombs on it 24 hours a day without disabling it. But - dropping a commando, one man, with just a bag of this, and he could melt right through four inches of solid steel and destroy that gun forever."

Or, Gustavo Fring could take out the entire top-level Mexican drug cartel without a non self-inflicted scratch initially, using only three people including himself. In the end, after he was able to take out entire organizations, he was taken out by two men.

Yeah, it's an incredibly interesting point that is just casually shrugged off. Kind of odd how it is presented.

I have dreams, or I should say prophesies related to media. I have had two BB dreams in the past few days and through all the nonsensical dream stuff, I have gleamed relevant information for you guys.

Don't highlight unless you want to be spoiled, for serious.

Someone outside of Walt's organization makes contact with Skyler, telling her they know, which crushes her.

Mike, Walt, and Jesse get captured and bounded, leading to a hilarious segment, that segues into a brutal scene.

Crazy shit happens.

I once again had a dream about this show.

Last time, my prophesies were only 1/3 true, so I'll just be vague this time. This episode is HUGE, guys.

I know this is going to sound fairly unoriginal and redundant, but I'm rewatching all 4 seasons on BR and am at Season 3, Ep 2, but god, I hate Skylar so fu cking much, no matter what some are saying about her behavior being normal, logical or appropriate, she is such a bit**. I swear to God I want to slap her when she tells Hank that it's none of his business that Walt can't see his kids.

She doesnt even have proof that Walt is dealing at this pt and she has no right to do what she's doing, really an annoying character, but I guess it's the point.

Man, I do know this is all fictional, but still, Gilligan is brilliant at making us care so much about the characters.

This week actually went by very fast. Lots of good stuff on tonight. Skipskiphorororororayyyy.

Imagine the end is Walt doing badass stuff with the destiny's child song playing in the background over the montage.

I would crown this to be the greatest show ever right then and there.

So tonight is the pre-finale? Shit definitely start to go down tonight and hits the fan next week.

Then we wait for next year.
