I had a huge feeling Mike was gonna go since the start of the season. He had way to much screen time. Odd thing is though Jesse hasn't really been in it. The scene with Jesse and Walt was amazing. Another thing about this episode Jesse and Skyler he knows something is wrong and chances are it is the fact she is scared. I can see them two connecting some how.

I am still pissed how they killed him though. Why did he not just get Jesse to deliver the bag?

If the DEA seen Jesse anywhere near going towards Mike it would be a shit storm. Hank knows something is up with Jesse already give him a actual reason everyone in the gang would be fucked.

Unfortunately Walt has become a deluded soulless man. He's so far up his ass it's unbelievable. He expects people to like and worship him, yet no one does and he can't even see that.

Anyone who'll still be rooting for him must get their heads checked. I'm on #TeamJesse, #TeamSkyler even. And I didn't even like Mike that much. But the way he acted this whole episode, and the way he killed him... was quite pathetic.

RIP Walter White :(

Knew all season Mike was gonna die, but still.

:(

The writers had to make some real leaps to get there. Couldn't just let him have his happy ending. Gomie standing right there with the door wide open was a little too easy, Mike trusting Walt with his gun was a little too dumb, sitting there checking his bag in his car and not just taking off was even dumber (If you didn't trust him, why let him bring you the bag?)....it was all very much like putting down a dog just because you have to. Unfortunately the show isn't great enough to do something different with what they had telegraphed from ep 1 of this season, but ah well. Farewell sweet prince. TV will be worse without you.

Because he wanted to kill him.

I don't get why Mike keeps telling Walt that he should have just kept in line with Fring's operation, though. Of course Walt would want to kill Gus, otherwise Gus would have killed him.

:lol :lol

Not going to lie it reminded me of Godfather pt 2 a little bit with Frodo. Thinking about the wait to next week sucks but even worse is the wait till next year.

Because everyone was getting paid and not getting caught. Gus had a huge operation going on especially since no one was going to get caught at all. Once Walt took out the king of it all everything fell straight down. Walt didn't realize so many things were connected towards Walt. All the guys Mike was paying off are going to come back right in their asses for the fact they aren't getting paid now. Mike was doing everything for a reason it is all going to fall like playing Jenga.

Walter is such a piece of shit. Mike was the only person he really didn't need to kill. Even without money I felt Mike wouldn't have talked. Such an unnecessary death too. >_<

Real funny how Walt acted liek a big swinging dick in the opening scene, but the in the end he's a pent up baby who just keeps getting lucky.

Mike is a real man and he deserved a better show.

If the DEA had a tail on Mike he would be in trouble. Hank also never made the connection between Jesse and the blue so they wouldn't be tailing him. It was a stretch for the show. One that I will let slide but it is a small blemish on an otherwise great season.

Mike should have seen it coming. Like other characters in the show, his ego got the better of him.

I think the writers were getting the better of him most of this season tbh. He's been uncharacteristically dumb most of the season (tons of half measures) because he is the very last sacrificial lamb this show had before it started getting to the so called "heavy hitters" (they won't kill Saul ever, so). Kind of a little bummed the show took the easy route on this, but ah well. RIP to the realest of all time.

He never did make the connection but that would be the connection. Why does this guy who is losing all our tails and even beating us to the punch is hanging out with a no one like Jesse Pinkman?

Another good thing they showed the bug is gone which helps and bit and hurts. If they still had the bug he would of had the heads up about the lawyer hopefully.

I agree, if he had seriously just gone in the car and not started shit with walter he'd be alive, but that's boring tv so of course he died :(.

Also i agree with the plenty of half measures this season, he should have just killed lydia in the beginning and it would have worked out so much better.

e:

is it implied that walt is just going to say Mike left? or will his Ego make him say "i killed mike, deal with it"

Let's talk about Walt's thought process before killing Mike for a second.

Couldn't he have just gone up to the car and then just pointed the gun at Mike first and ask for the names instead of straight up shoot him?

Mike pointed out Walt's ego problem and his stupid actions but was that really enough for him to just straight up shoot him?

Walt threw a temper tantrum that got a dude killed. Nothing new for him.

Still doesn't explain how they would tail Jesse to the bag and to Mike to make the connection.

Jesse was the safe bet.

Ego which will drive Jesse past the breaking point. A crazy assumption I have which is insane but I can see happening Jesse going to Hank. I mean we are all waiting for the Jesse vs Walt and the Hank vs Walt why not make it Hank and Jesse vs Walt.

Didn't Mike say Sauls office is probably being watched?

yeah this was not planned, the gun was a last ditch effort in case he got into trouble with mike, but mike burned his pride and ego and just walked away and pissed him off, you can see by his face after he drives off that he's shocked about what he did.

Meh. Mike was seconds away from killing Walt and probably a day or two away from killing Jesse in the Season 3 finale. He was a hitman for years. He has more blood on his hands than the guy who cleans the used tampon box in women's restrooms.

Team Walt.

LOL, gotta love Puddles.

Fuck, if someone as "inconspicuous" as Walt can walk up to the car the police are sitting on and take a bag out of it, why not just have Badger fucking do it. Zero liabilities there.

But noooooo, the writers had to kill Mike. :(

He ended up being more shocked over how he would find the 9 names if Mike was dead. Him standing next to Mike looking uneasy until he realizes he could just ask Lydia showed that pretty well.

No.

Mike was out and Walt let his precious who get to him.

this episode made me sad

not only did mike die, but i really finally realised how evil walt is.
working with todd... shooting mike in anger.

great death/final scene overall in my opinion.

btw: who else thinks mikes 5m will go to jesse

Yeah, looks to me like the face of someone who's trying to convince someone or themselves that the gun "just went off in their hand".

Walt can't even handle a gun right.

In all honestly you can see Walt evil in season 3ish and especially last season. He brought a fucking bomb to a hospital.

One other thing I love about this show are the cooking shots they are amazing well done plus all the music.

Mike literally has the worst judgement in the world.

I thought the Half-Measures tale was about a lesson learned, but it turned out to be the story of his life.

That would make Jesse mighty suspicious. He'd know that Walt doesn't have that much cash himself.

Edit: We're both forgetting that Mike put a great deal of that money in safety deposit boxes.

If there's such thing as a used tampon bin, and a guy who cleans them exclusively, I want to know more.

this is going to end like scarface

Walt is Tony Montana, the thugs are the cops.

Thats the series finale, and its why Walt had a massive machine gun in his trunk in the season opener. Ready to go out like a boss in a shootout, Scarface style.

Would also be epic foreshadowing from when Walt and Flynn were watching the Scarface ending earlier in season 4.

yeah but Walts character is so shity he acts cool but sometimes when he does it I am not feeling it. He was acting like a scared girl mumbling when he shoot Mike,
"Shut that fuck up an let me Die in piece"damn right Mike RIP
I wonder if they gonna turn his character around or smth next year cant wait...

Mike... =(

I really really hope the next episode doesn't end where the season began. If they show him coming out of the diner into his car at the end of this half season and ends it on a cliffhanger I will be so fucking pissed. I want to see where he goes with those guns in the trunk I want to see him become a fugitive RIGHT NOW. I want Hank to at least find out next week about everything.
