Holy shit if it's a hidden cam, I though Walt got rid of that bug too easily.

Also, my jaw literally dropped during the final scene last night. Watching an episode of Breaking Bad for the first time is always an experience.

nah, that's too easy. the only reason for the bug-retrieval scene was so walt could overhear about the lawyer.

This is the shot I though might be alluding to the idea that hank has a camera in his office. Glad I wasn't the only one who saw it.

It is the very same angle that was used with camera's watching Walt working in Gus' lab... could be reaching, but its just to random to be coincidence.

i doubt that was a camera... just how the scene was shot

Yeah, I could see that being the final scene of the episode.

Hank watching as Walt removes the bug, then it shows Hank's face, and...

Fin.

I hope hank finds out a better way... he deserves to put it all together himself. I'm going to guess Walt's watch is going to somehow play a part... they really made a point for us to notice the watch when they shoot scenes.

odd shot to use simply to shoot the scene, especially when no similar shot was used during the planting of the bug and considering Hank's boss may now be keeping tabs, its possible Hank doesn't even know it exists.

It's an odd shot for sure but people expecting it to be hiddencam would be disappointed if it doesnt turn out one, best to be undecided on this.

Well, I thought it was a hidden camera, but I'm not going to be disappointed if it ends up being nothing...

And besides, every time that angle is used prior on the show, it is for the sole purpose OF a camera. hard to believe they would just use it to mislead the audience. But you might be right, I just believe there is more banking on the idea than not. if it ends up being nothing so be it, but it'll make for some interesting speculation on how Hank finds out walt is involved... we all know it will happen.

Breaking Bad journalism is basically unreadable now. Everyone is tripping over themselves to talk about how evil, toxic, cancerous, etc Walt is. It's clumsy at best, tedious at worst.

Although I think the death of Mike was totally appropriate for the way they handled his character this season, I don't know how they will simply replace an actor of Jonathan Banks' caliber.

Well they just brought in Matt Damon, and he's been great so far.

I feel like some of you have never watched Breaking Bad before. This show constantly does weird angles and cool shots and all that stuff. Like constantly. Multiple times an episode. I think people are overthinking that overhead one. But who knows, anything is possible on this show.

If you're looking for signs, the movie Mike was watching is a bigger sign that that, in terms of foreshadowing.

Unless it ends the show, Hank actually finding out about Walt can only result in two things:

1) Hank gets killed
2) Hank becomes complicit.

Now this is the "gotcha" result. The result of Hank finding out about Walt from a different location is of course Walt's disappearance, much more likely.

The show isn't really weird in its camera angles so much as deliberate. For aesthetic or for purpose, they are always careful where they put the camera. It was a shot that stood out to me, personally, given the timing and the context. I won't be surprised either way, but I think a fisheye lense from the corner of a room when someone is doing something sneaky speaks a lot more loudly than you're saying.

If it was a hidden camera they would of seen him planted it in the first place and show would of been over.

Except that Hank didn't know someone was messing around in his office before. His scenes in this episode seemed entirely intended to demonstrate his growing sense that he's being watched. Look at his face while they find nothing in Mike's house. And then again looking at the photos they took.

or the 3rd option. Hank finds out after Walt is dead, and puts all the pieces together.

Do you guys think Hank will get in more hot water for his interest in the Ehrmantraut case, or do you think it's smooth sailing from now on?

It's really funny to see so many people hating on Walt now. I thought it's been obvious he's a terrible human scum who has deserved to die since, well, probably the end of the first season, ha. It's a bit worrying it's taken til now for so many people to realise that, I think.

This season has been incredible so far. I think this show can be a bit overhyped at times, but they're really going out on a bang. I knew Mike was going to die this episode from about halfway through, and I'm glad they had the balls to do it, but on the other hand another half dozen episodes without him just doesn't feel right. Best character on the show after Jesse, probably.

I think Hank realized that someone had bugged his office and recently installed cams to catch any BS going on in there. He hasn't really done anything interesting this season but in the past he has had many moments where his gut gets him to do something tricky at just the right time.

That and the fact that Walt has to use a fake ID and change his look at some point in the future makes me think that his cover is blown by the this next episode.

What is the fun with Hank catching Walt on a hidden cam? This show is a lot more creative then that to suddenly say oh there is a hidden cam in Hanks office.

Come at me bro.

Remember when everyone thought someone was taking pictures of Walt in the parking garage in Face Off because of a creative camera angle?

You guys never learn

Didn't Walt make a call to Mike's real cell phone? The same one his lawyer had? And didn't they both address each other by name? If the DEA had any kind of bug on his phone or a way to listen in later after they investigate his
death
, wouldn't this be (breaking)bad?
I'm just waiting for that damn watch to fall off and do Walt in. I thought there was gonna be a struggle in the last episode and it was gonna fall off.

I think majority of people were rooting for walt up until the brock poisoning. And it feels like that wasn't Vince's intended result as observed by the sudden shift in Walt's characterization this season. He's been a much bigger asshole this season and I'm beginning to dislike him as well. A lot of my friends think this is true too... I've gotten "this season is different" which I have to agree with.

But at the same time it's so strange, during those scenes where he's bugging the office/removing the bug I can't help but root for him. Damn you Cranston!

to add to that it looked like there was a camera in Walt's house at the end of crawl space... which of course turned out to be nothing.

This show is creative. That's why Hank using his wits to catch the person leaking information out of his office would make perfect sense.

Not sure what the more creative solution would be, but Hank finding out real soon now is definitely something they're setting up. And this is definitely an avenue that makes sense.

I'll tell you what I remember. Hundreds and hundreds of posts saying it would be uncreative/stupid/not possible for Walt to have poisoned Brock.

The less people on Team Walt the faster fuckin train goes!

who needs dead weight? If they're bailing out for fuckin Mike of all people, they need not be present for what's to come.

Walt will bring Skylar into Hank's office for some marriage counseling. While he is once again distracted by Gomez, it's time to reprogram all the cameras.

Hank's boss will naturally conclude that Hank hasn't set foot in his office for a week and fire him.

Problem solved.

Since the end of the first season, really? For what? Cooking meth and strangling a guy who was waiting for the opportunity to shank him?

I agree with this. This season has been awesome in certain ways, but in other ways it's the weakest of the five seasons. Gilligan is coming up against the limitations of the concept and of his own ability to write characters. And I'm not saying that he isn't a good writer, because he is. I just don't think anyone short of Fyodor fucking Dostoevsky could pull off this character transformation and not have it come off as at least somewhat cheap.

I'm curious as to how Walt deals with the crime scene he created. How remote was their location? Does he leave the body as is or return with an acid bucket? His tire tracks are definitely distinct... and what about Mike's cell phone?

You mean thinking for himself?

pretty much. Jesse has been pretty much always been oblivious to Walt and constantly manipulated.. Of course Jesse had to figure this out but I thought that would've been the major angle of part 2. Glad it happened but I just hope it doesn't mean that Jesse dies earlier than in one of the final episodes (if they go that route... hopefully not:( team jesse! lol).

I'm kind of surprised how quickly Jesse is turning on Walt... I thought this would have happened in the final 8 episodes.

Jesse has turned on Walt 4 or 5 times now. Basically, we're now waiting on Jesse to come back to Walt.

It's too long ago to remember when exactly, but as soon as it got to be about his power trip and not being a desperate man with cancer, which was pretty early on, is when Walt went from a sympathetic character to a scumbag for me. It's hard to like someone when they're in the meth/killing/crime business, shockingly.

I feel like people are far too lenient with Walt's actions. If he was a person you knew in real life you'd bail the fuck out of their life ASAP. The fact so many people have liked him up until this season boggles my mind.

But anyway, Amir0x and I have had this discussion many time with people and it seemed like back then we were the only two who though he was a piece of shit, so I don't have much desire to do it all over again!
