"Juve, Bilbao's definitive answer by tonight"
"Juve, closing on Jovetić"

Why do I have a feeling we'll end up with NOTHING? Fuck my life.

Whatever man, I just want an answer so we can cross his name off the chalkboard and move on.

Trying to sign Isco on FM using the 48 month trick. Future replacement for Hamsik for when he eventually leaves. City and PSG are circling.

He gets likened to a young Vidic all the time. He's 18 I think, looks quite promising. I'm sure you'll manage to destroy his career within the year.

Poor Savic.

I'm not really sure why it's "poor Savic" -- he just isn't as good as the team had hoped (at least at this point). Serie A is nothing to sneeze at either. I do think he has the chance to be a good player some day but he wasn't ready for the PL clearly.

I think we'd still need to acquire a more established player. Javi Garcia would be a nice choice if Bilbao won't budge on Martinez's price and if deDay doesn't happen.

You threw him in to high pressure games before he was ready for it and destroyed his confidence. When you signed him, he had bags of potential too.

We did the same thing with Paletta under Rafa. It's a hard league to adjust to for a young defender.

Bit harsh on Savic that I think. Was meant to be highly rated when City signed him too. Maybe they could have done a better job easing him in and developing him.

Don't know anything about Nastasic though so maybe he is much better.

"Savic is absolutely fantastic in training, his tackling, passing and control is spot on. But in competitive games, he doesn't do it #MCFC"

A tweet from a City fan who is very clued up on the club.

Hopefully we'll be able to say the same about Jenkinson.

See my above post. His confidence must be in shreds, and oppositions see him as a weak link so focus on him. He was just put in far too early.

Salv - Jenkinson never even had potential. Sorry.

I think sometimes you just throw a guy into the deep end and hope he can swim. Kompany was only 22 (although he had a few years experience in a tough/high-end league already whereas Savic didn't) when he moved to City and he began to play in the first team immediately. I don't think there was really any intent on Savic getting a lot of time initially but Kompany's red card and the ACON thrust him into the spotlight.

We'll see what happens with this new guy (if this deal goes through).

If that's true then it's pretty surprising they're willing to let him go. Means he has talent just need to get the performances out of him. He's only been at the club a year.

Anyhow, if Nastasic is a much better player it will be a good deal for City.

Wolves were pretty keen to take him on loan for a season.

That would have been perfect for everyone.

Oh absolutely, but that can't be the way you treat every youngster with potential though. It has to be done on a case by case basis. Coates has been eased toward our first team very carefully, even though fans were clamouring for him to play ahead of Carra last year. Seemed an odd decision at the time, but if he had a run of 3 or 4 bad games, he would have ended up like Savic.

I thought Mertesacker was one of Arsenal's genuinely solid buys last year. If he had a full season, I think he'd be quite a bit less under-the-radar than he is now.

It's early days but it just goes to show you what happens when Arsenal get a bit of defensive training.

I'm starting to believe that M'Vila's a bit overrated.

That nobody's pounced on him, especially given Rennes asking price, makes me think he's not the wonder talent we once thought. Perhaps I'll be made to look a fool once he signs for Spurs.

Can't say I've seen much of him though, regardless, he played well when France bossed England a year ago, but he was fairly anonymous at the Euros (He was injured for the start though, so that might be a bit harsh).

M'VILA FERGIE FUCKING PLEASE

3 points off a draw? Fucking UNICEF!

whoops

Dunno. I want a left winger, though. I don't see this CB interest as a sane move; if Nani is genuinely sulking and Young has a phobia about running forward at speed, we will be wanting summat.

CM priority, obviously, and we'll wait and see if Büttner is a mentalist down that side. But it's something.

If Nani goes then yes, left midfielder is fucking vital. If I have to witness a season where Ashley Young is expected to provide attacks on our left side, I'll potentially destroy my own bollocks in frustration.

Want Büttner to play as soon as possible and score, and if he does I hope the celebration involves fire and underpants.

Welcome back Wilbury!

I have missed you my sweet cherubic zebra

But not your pictures of Pog.

A couple of things from Football Weekly, they say Rooney's looking to be out for 2 months now, because the gash went into the muscle. Although I can see this being a blessing in disguise, as United can begin to mould the team around Kagawa and RVP without any distractions. And it definitely isn't a plus for Liverpool fans, Rooney's always been dogshit at Anfield, and last time RVP was there he bagged two.

Agreed with you on the Rooney point; while it's a bit sucky to see him out because he's obviously a class player, the team has been built around him when its pretty clear to me from the last two games that building it around Kagawa to utilise his strengths could be a pretty magnificent thing to do.

Yeah that was a little ??-y for me too. I thought he had a really great game. Not really bothered, though. He did have a couple really horrible miscued efforts on goal.

Might have just been from MOTD, so fuck me because I'm probably wrong. Read through the pages and saw you all praising Gerrard. Can't help but feel a Sahin/Allen/Lucas midfield would be better though, at least if used more consistently.

Dion Dublin was there??

Yeah saw him walk past with a younger girl, assuming its his daughter or a hot piece of ass. Was 100% him, I just felt bad because he probably thought he was being told to fuck off by some supporter but she didn't give a fuck who he was, she was just being an aggressive drunk.

Why don't you just not read it.

There was nothing that exciting.

I like reading it all because it gives me more fap material.

Guys, I am going to say it.

I like Tello.

There I said it, I have no idea why. I just feel like he could be moulded into something great, him on the wing with Alba is fun. But seriously dude, grow the hair back.

Not convinced at all. Just a shit Pedro, really.

Well I'm back from Leeds festival. See the Black Keys live if you can. Amazing.

So, what have I missed?

Yeah Black Keys were great. Kasabian were very good, Foo Fighters were good but went on too long, Spector were great, Two Door are always awesome, SBTRKT was brill, The Cure of course were lovely, but I fucking loved The Hives. They were such a laugh.

Please, keep typing.
