I really rate Cabaye. He was also my mancrush for a few days.

Can Modric do this? :P But yes, he is a much better player.

That's a really mesmerizing gif.

He almost did it again against Spain in the quarter final. If it went in I would have fapped in his honour.

Modric scored some good goals last season too. Modric's dribbling is so dangerous. So glad Tottenheim didn't have him last week.

So moving swiftly on from toenails...is there anything to report in a muppet update (may i propose: mupdate) for this evening?

Juve's Paratici is flying to Bilbao as we speak, hoping to close the Llorente deal in the next 24h. In case he fails, Borriello is ready.

Sounds like Lloris to Spurs may finally happen. Poor Brad Friedel.

Brad is great but he's 41. He also struggles under high balls but his other attributes compensate for that. If Lloris is available we simply have to buy him, world class keepers don't come along very often and if we get him we would be set for years. It's a shame for Brad but at his age he can't have thought he would get the nod unchallenged, a bit of genuine competition is good for all involved.

Ahh yeah for sure, I agree that Spurs have no choice but to make a go for him especially given Brad's age. It would be a great signing for almost any club in the PL. Feel bad for Brad just the same though -- still a decent first choice keeper so hopefully this doesn't mean the end of his career.

Fuck. This first 3 official matches from Sporting are making me want to quit watching football for a couple of months. We are playing so fucking bad.

He will play until his 50's in the UAE to pay off his debt.

I feel bad for him too, but we are in 4 competitions this season. He will get plenty of game time of he becomes second choice. He's a pro and if Lloris performs to a high standard he will understand. I just wish we had got CL last season, Brad deserved to play in that competition. That would have been a great way to bow out.

Hello everyone, I have quite a few things I would like to say to you. Firstly, you are all gullible c****. There is no such thing as an 'ITK', I did this as an experiment to see how many wankers I could get to believe I was a genuine agent. Quite frankly, I see that I have over 20,000 followers and PISS myself laughing. 20,000 followers from chatting absolutely shit that I completely made up, fucking brilliant.

Interview with Shaqiri, after his first Bundesliga match.

Xherdan Shaqiri, as usual after a game, you call your parents straight away. What are you telling them about your first Bundesliga match?
XS: My mum only wants to hear that I’m doing well. For her, the most important thing is that I come home healthy.

And from a sporting standpoint? Your first half wasn’t good, the second better. Agreed?
XS: Yes, it was difficult in the beginning. Fürth defended very deep. But after the 1:0 it got better. We had more space that I could use.

Before the 2:0, you’re playing a great pass to Arjen Robben. How do you see your interaction with him?
XS: You could see in the pre-season how well we harmonize. The pass for the 2:0 showed how well we get along with each other. We’ll see if I start again next week against Stuttgart as well.

For the most part, you played as 10. Then as left and right winger. Are you okay with that?
XS: I think it’s good when Arjen Robben and Thomas Müller and I change positions every now and then. We can all play central too. That way, we’re more unpredictable for the opponent.
In the end, you contributed to two goals.

When have you been told you’ll be starting for the sick Franck Ribéry?
XS: Thursday in training already.

Ribéry is your neighbor. Is he visiting often?
XS: At the moment, it’s better if he doesn’t so he can’t infect me (laughs). Otherwise we hang out quite often.

When you were giving interviews to the German journalists earlier, second keeper Tom Starke walked past you and pinched your stomach. Then Dante jokingly slapped you on the back of your head. Is it always that much fun at Bayern?
XS: We have a lot of fun with the team. That’s right.

For example?
XS: That stays within the team.

A little example you can tell us.
XS: Yes, for example during dinner. We put salt in some players’ water if they aren’t looking. Mario Mandzukic for example.

Is it correct that your hairdresser comes to Munich all the way from Switzerland?
XS: Yes, a friend of mine from Aargau. He usually travels along with my brother. I don’t know anyone in Munich.

How long does the artwork take?
XS: Not long.

Is the pressure of having to win away games similar to Basel?
XS: All in all it’s similar. As is the game preparation. It’s all a little bit more professional here though. You have a closer look at the opponent.

So you could name all eleven opposing players and their positions?
XS: (laughs) Well, not really every one of them.

One time, you even cleared via header in your own box. How is that possible with 1,69m?
XS: (laughs) I always try to work defensively too.

Coach Ottmar Hitzfeld compares you to Mehmet Scholl. Does that honor you?
XS: It’s nice when he says that. Every person is happy about compliments. Scholl always shot great free-kicks. But I’m a young player and I have to improve.

Have you seen anything of the city Munich so far?
XS: No, so far I’ve concentrated on pre-season completely. I have to take some time now soon. I also haven’t been out yet. I have to integrate myself - that takes time. Everything else will come afterwards.

I'm just ecstatic Modric has finally moved, I see him as a symbol of Spurs ominous superiority over us for the last couple of years. People talk about Arshavin having good games at Anfield, but Modric is similarly brilliant in his own way; he bossed us off the park in the final game of the 2010/11 season.

Shaqiri looks really stocky given his size. If you didn't know he was 3ft 2in, you'd think he would barge any player out of the way without a single ounce of effort due to being tonk.

Why is ESPN Latin America saying Marco Fabián to Bayern?
Well, Shaqiri actually looks good, so Bayern needs another young player they can waste in the reserves. Looks likely.

Still doing school boys' jokes? Now I know why Heynckes uses poor tactics, the players just don't understand anything more complicated.

sorry, haven't made fun of Bayern for a long time and felt like doing so lol

Hypothetically, how much would Falcao go for next summer? What's his release clause?

I dunno his release clause but he is worth the amount of money you have to pay for the best striker in the world! Atletico payed us 45 million euros and I thought it wasn't enough.

Are they in financial difficulties, outside of the general difficulties that've engulfed Spain in general? I heard they hadn't even paid you fully yet.

Not only did he sign just last season for a bulk load, he has 4 years left on his contract.

Will a giant club please rescue Falcao from Atletico? The world deserves to see his talent on a bigger stage. I don't care if its evil Chelsea.

That's a really mesmerizing gif.

I really love those free kicks (or even just kicks) where the ball seems to curve like that. I saw a short television show about Ronald (~40 minutes) that explained how this worked (among other things) that I watched yesterday.
