You guys were linked with him all summer. Seems also odd that Fergie is not after him. He's perfect for United as well and cheap to boot.
Wonder if Arsene and Fergie know something is up with him..
Very unlikely we replace him at such short notice now.If Nani leaves without being replaced I will cry for the entire month of September!
Maybe he only wants to join Newcastle to play with his French buddies?
Yeeeeeeeeah

Oh, Never knew they did this.Bilbao only plays with Basque players.

Worked out well with Debuchy huh?
DebuchyI hope for one more bid before the window closes. I definitely expect one for Carroll given the sudden reintroduction of the rumours in the media lately. Either way, I expect one more player in and I doubt Cabaye or Tiote will go (unless Newcastle did the impossible and got M'Vila).

Root for Arsenal mateHope Spurs don't get Dembele ahead of us but if they do then I wish him all the best, and Lloris would be a cracking buy. Really rooting for Spurs this year. When the transfer window is closed and they've gelled a bit, they'll be great. They're the perfect club for AVB if you think about it.
We're putting in one final bid for Debuchy this week. He'll come if Lille are destroyed by Copenhagen on Wednesday. If not then he'll have to stay
I don't know if M'Vila is better than Tiote but I don't like losing star players.

I think he would add a physical option to our midfield which at the moment is pretty lightweight and gets easily outmuscled.Do you guys really think Dembele will improve us at all? Or are we just jumping to conclusions because Carrick has been missing in CM for our past two games.
He's a good player, but...
Any way to get Tiote's stats from last season compared to other defensive midfielders in the league?
For a while I just followed the PL, only since Ronaldo's move to Madrid, I've followed the Spanish LeagueHow could you not know that? It's the only thing they're known for.I'm joking, in case it wasn't obvious. Great club, always had great respect for their Basque-only philosophy.
We really should come up with some sort of Footy-GAF admission test.![]()
Agree with you, the Midfield needs a bit of steel and Dembele can be a our Yaya Toure, which is a type of player we need in the middle.I think he would add a physical option to our midfield which at the moment is pretty lightweight and gets easily outmuscled.
I'm still not really sure he is the perfect player for us...but he'd definitely help. If we could sign him for a reasonable price it would be good.
I don't see him as somebody going into the first team week in week out though.
Root for Arsenal mate

If Carroll goes (90% chance) it will be for an undisclosed fee..
Cheers

HI All,
Rodgers wants Dempsey but the owners are unsure because of his age.
He has been told if he sells a player then we can bid..
Also not Liverpool related but i believe City, Chelsea and Spurs will spend big this week..
Cheers
I'd take that, but we'll need to spend it on a winger or a CM.Banned paper reckon Zenit will offer £25m for Nani.
I'd be happy with that, I guess. It's a bit of a shame though, I doubt we will reinvest that money now...it almost seems like a sale to balance the books a bit..

I think we'd be stupid to pay that much for Carroll, 12 Mil tops. If we've got 17 Mil to spend I'd rather we spent it on Debuchy and a cheaper backup striker.

Yeah Yenrot, I can see Carroll coming back home. 17 million is a lot but whatever, not my money
Actually 17 million is A LOT for a 3rd choice striker...
The back page of tomorrow's Mirror is the story that we're lining up a £15 million for Sturridge.
Don't fancy that, too much in my opinion. At the start of the summer I was more open to it, but I've cooled towards the idea. He's a good player, but I worry that he's too wasteful with the ball.
BURN. Liverpool. BURN.
I still loved when Newcastle bid for him back at 60% off. Hilarious.
I want my old job back which consisted of me browsing footyGAF all day. I'm so lost here now (but kicking absolute ass at my new job. I'm a fucking wonder)
Someone fill me in on the lastest happenings, please.

I'm more inclined to believe that if we do sell him it'll just balance the books and take our spend to about £25m. Nothing major.I'd take that, but we'll need to spend it on a winger or a CM.
Rooday?

There has to be a reason Arsene isn't interested. Something seems strange.
Actually our first bid was 7 million. That's 80% off lol
