Agreed. The TF2 comic had a decent concept, but the last panel is just so ugly and boring.
Basically this. I can recognize and remember all the flags that contain special symbols or alternate patterns of stripes (like diagonal or Switzerland's simple cross). The problem is all the ones that are just three horizontal or three vertical stripes of interchangeable colors.
