It'll be interesting to see what happens to the AE numbers next season. With WNF going to a lineup of AE, VF5, and TTT2, there isn't another Capcom or 2d fighting game tournament for AE players to enter on the side. I think levelup is counting on the AE players to pick up Tekken but I don't really see that happening in big numbers. Maybe enough tekken players will go and also enter AE to keep the numbers stable, or maybe WNF will just lose more entrants.
Globally or locally? Because US is already Marvel country (if you ignore Smash and Mortal Kombat).

Last year was ~300 for AE and ~200 for MvC3, it happened very close to the release of UMvC3 which obviously hurt the turnout. But you'll want to put your Bison dollars on AE having a higher number than UMvC3 this year.
Doesn't matter anyway, because most people will go to SB for UMvC3 and not AE.

AE had 270, Marvel 3 had 170. I don't expect it to be lopsided this year. It'll probably be very close, maybe 20 or 30 apart regardless of which game is on top. But SF4 has tons of players who show up for every major. Marvel has more stream monsters, especially the vocal ones. Plus it's the new hotness, while SF4 has faded recently in the past year. But it still brings out huge numbers for every major, actually ending up #1 half the time regardless of the lack of hype or anticipation.
The EVO champ Infiltration(along with his buddy Laugh) is confirmed for SB, so that should make for a more interesting AE tournament.

Chances are he'll body everyone for free, so i am not sure how that will make for a more interesting AE tournament. It doesn't sound like any more foreigner is coming for AE.

Naoto basically has a debuff on anybody she fights. If she gets you to 0 skulls she can instant kill you in any combo.
The probability of the crowd chanting "USA! USA! USA!" increases.

Well I didn't mean more competitive. I meant something on the lines of a top international player is coming. When Daigo and the Japanese were always expected to win every time they showed up in 2009/2010, people still looked forward to it because they don't get to see guys like this often. He's not a huge draw like Daigo, but it's more interesting having him in the mix then just a battle of Americans which bores everybody now because international competition is the only time people look forward to AE nowadays.
Just for clarification, she needs Mudoon or Hamaon to do it.

That's literally what this thread is about week in week out. If you want to talk about a specific game then go to that thread, or just bring up whatever interests you in this thread.
This thread is great BECAUSE it has so much personal drama in it. That drama produces witty one line responses, stupid one line responses, arguments, photoshops, stupid meme pics, etc. It's all very entertaining, and personally I prefer that to some dry academic thread where we can't talk shit about whatever stupid thing some player said on twitter or talk about a couple of sponsored players who ended their relationship.
