NFL Training Camp/Preseason Thread 2012 - A Farewell to snes :(

Apparently only one ESPN analyst picked the Lions to finish second. All else had them third.

I feel bad for goldlion. That drunken thug maniac Suh completely overshadowed his once-a-decade year in the spotlight.

I dont get all the Bears love. Urlacher's knees are shot, Forte is coming off a major injury, their D is old, their OL is horrible, they are putting in a new offense this year, their biggest off season addition is a total head case, and Poutface is their QB. The Lions are going to finish ahead of the Bears.

@AdamSchefter - Dolphins team plane backed into another plane, damaging the wing of the Dolphins' plane. The entire team - about 70 players, plus the coaches and support staff - was forced to de-plane and wait for another ride. Classic Hard Knocks.

I.....well..the Dolphins are just a disaster.

I think both teams will win around 9 games. A battle of mediocrity. Meh.

Why all the celebration about a pushed back deadline? I don't get the significance beyond possibly being able to replace an injury gap later in to the season.

I think there is a few beer specialists here. What about the Miller beer?

Edit: God, who is this hot goddess who is hosting the NFLcom Fantasy live? wow ...

You are really down on the Lions. They won 10 games last year with no running game at all and a terrible D. I dont see them doing worse this year outside of injuries.

They got to play the Buccaneers, Chiefs, Broncos (pre Tebow), Raiders and the Chargers late, who had given up. Half their wins were gimmies. I'm not down on them, I was never high on them to begin with. They have what looks to be an easy schedule this year, but they'll lose at Tennessee, split with the Bears and Vikings, lose two to the Packers, lose to the Texans and lose to the 49ers. That's 7 losses and they still have to play the Falcons and Eagles.

I'd consider 9 wins mildly impressive for that team.

Large market and a large fanbase.

Same reason USC is always ranked #1 in the preseason, or how the Knicks are always talked about despite having not won a championship in 40 years, or why the Jets get as much coverage as they do.

It's cute that everyone still thinks Cutler is an elite quarterback though.

Lots of interesting wrinkles to this new IR rule. The player you bring back has to be declared as such when you put him on IR. "Short term IR" I think is the official term for this player. So you can't just pick and choose someone from your entire list of players that are on IR. They can return to practice after 6 weeks, be fully activated after 8.

Also, as was mentioned earlier, the player has to be on your official 53-man roster before being put on IR in order to be eligible. There is an exception being made this year only for players that are already on IR.
