Infamous banned gaffers

Whatever happened to Costanza? I've heard of him/her but not really clued up on how hr got banned.

My choices would be (I was lurking during these times):

Fistful - I fucking lol'd at his obsession with Natalie Portman. It was so weird and random :lol

JBaird - this guy was a legend. Nuff said.
 
The sad fact is that "trolls" are what make most forums fun and entertaining.

They spice up topics and turn them from circle jerks into discussions.

But in turn, it heaps a lot of attention on them and there is only a certain amount of attention to go around and mods get unhappy because people spend less time brown nosing them and agreeing with their bullshit opinions or weak jokes.

I'm just talking generally though as every forum i've ever frequented has had infamous posters people want back.

End of the Day, GAF is here to entertain us and encourage debate and discussion. You can't have that without a few loose cannons.

Unban all these guys and let's paartah!!

Basically, Meeru was known for many characteristics, like always picking the Templar Assassin hero in Dota 2. That, and things like his first post ever as a junior being in the Dota 2 beta thread and seemingly acting like he wasn't new at all and never left, raised quite a few eyebrows.

Yeah, and after being demoted and even temp. banned several times, he never learned his lesson, he came back and right away started his immature, childish crap only to get banned again within a week ...I am also glad I don't have to see one of my favorite comedians always be bastardized next to a poor (taste) post. I really don't understand why anyone here liked Dr. Eggman.

Wollan era gaming discussion at the height of the console wars was the stuff of legend. (it was never that good again. NPD threads nowadays lack the excitement they once held)

my god some of the stupid stuff he'd come out with.

I've still yet to discover why, exactly, Huelen got banned over Sonics' eye color. I found the thread he got banned it, but every time I try to read through it my eyes roll back into my head and I lose interest. It happens every time I try to read through threads that harbor overzealous fans. Damndest thing.

This is something I think should be rectified. I lurk SomethingAwful (mostly for a few special LP threads) and I like how they put the word Perma'd in large red letters over the Avvy when someone has. Now I'm not saying Gaf should just copy them outright but as it stands now, there's no way of knowing who's just temp and who's perma'd since the greyed out name is the same for both.
