I honestly don't know how you guys do it. I spent 3 or 4 years over there and could barely name 10 members off the top of my head let alone remember threads where people were banned that are years old. Seeing it now I do remember that Lince thread but if you said to me hey remember Lince and how he got banned I'd be like ?????. On OT the names get familiar a bit quicker but that's more because of posters like the ones in this thread who just seem to post in a lot of threads.

Hehe, cool, guess it's a good thing to always leave some sort of a legacy, before our time comes with this place. I'm totally fine with "That Canadian guy who was super late for his date." it pretty much sums my identity in real life.
 
I wonder what happened to a bunch of those dudes when I was lurking years ago. Himuro, Red Scarlet, wRATH2x, Drinky Crow, Wario64, etc.

It seems like all those guys are banned now.

I am (Half German), but moved to Canada, just like ( I cannot think of his name atm) the Footy GAFer who has Bart Simpson as an avatar and a Bayren emblem in the BG with a German flag that he kept since the Euro 2012. I believe he is from Southern Ontario, and half German, despite looking "All German"

I'm assuming it's a temp, but shinobi rubs me the wrong way. It doesn't help that every time I see him I can only think of that thread where he was panicking because his wife might find out he looks at porn. Shameful.

Ricky got perm'd for beeing an annoying white knight in every thread. It ended up with him starting a thread about baning the word "tranny" I believe and EvilLore had to step in, end the carnival of stupid and perm Chris

I thought it was the thread where Steven Segal was accused of sexual harassment that got him, though I do remember the "tranny" thread that came near the end.

That reminds me of that amazing thread where someone posting how they found their gf's blog or something and someone posting a comment on that blog as RiskyChris liking to the thread. Good times.
 
NeoGAF has a chequered history that I know nothing of. People seemed to have lurked for years before joining, or have been here for ages. I was looking for a good football thread that wasn't club specific, found GAF after five minutes searching, registered and was approved in two weeks.

Similar with me and gaming.. was getting into console gaming for the first time since the PSX days and was looking for a good PS3/gaming forum. Found gaf, registered, and in a week or so I was a member. Had no idea of its relative scope or importance in the gaming scene, I just liked the amount of topics. I also had no idea of the stringent rules or membership practices so when I was approved I didn't know why I couldn't make threads. I decided to pm a mod and little did I know that mod was Evilore. To his credit he responded very promptly and told me about the junior member status. I think it was only a year or two later I realized that was the owner of the site.
 
There was this super pro PS3 guy that was pretty hilarious when I was lurking. His name was Major Harris or something... I will come back to me.

She planned on leaving in support over the internet restriction thing, she came back and decided she would leave for good I guess. She started deleting posts and she sent pms to certain members apologizing for her acts, and that she would be leaving again. Bish didn't give her the chance, and banned her on the spot.
