The funny thing is that of the two offshoots, that was the one Segata went to, after he had his "can't have quality discussions at NeoGAF" meltdown. The irony is palpable.

Does anyone think it would be a good idea to not let the banned people know they're banned? Like, they can post in threads but no one sees their posts? It would be a great way to fuck with them.

Segata ain't banned though. He justs posts at another forum. Not the really angry one, but one that's pretty chill.
EviLore already did that to someone. But then he decided that the extra system resources required to make that possible weren't worth it. Also, he figured that the banned guy probably figured it out eventually.

ya'll talkin foolishness - most of his friends on here were gone, and honestly, do ya'll frequent gaming side? i wanna say yeah, but he was super-active there, and shit can burn you out when console warriors and personal-insult-throwing dudes bumrush threads. he was interested in having actual discussions, and a lotta people actively deaden that, it takes its toll i think.

Yeah, and you get out what you put in. I've gotten into it with him over Yakuza and his complaints about gaming side could apply to himself.
My only point is that if you complain about the level of discourse (which is a valid conversation if someone wants to have it) to the point where you remove yourself from the site, it doesn't behoove you to go to OA.

Also, Segata is chill as all hell.

Crushed definitely stands out the most to me, mainly because he started off so promising but then descended into just some asshole, gif-posting character with an unbelievably large group of posters at his beck and call.

Wait, Amirox and Blamespace are banned? I know a lot of posters celebrated when Ami was de-modded because he had a lot of people that didn't like him on gaming and he was a hardcore atheist/slightly offensive to religious people in OT, but he's banned now? As far as Blamespace I liked his schtick sometimes, but wasn't he originally banned for peeing on a printout of a mod's avatar and posting the pic on GAF?
