Infamous banned gaffers

On a related note, how long does it take to move up from junior member to member, then to another different nomenclature ?

I do not really understand the appeal of a tag. If I could I would still have my tag read "Member" but that's verboten or something. Can't have me confusing people like that.

Whenever I click on "threads created" by permabanned users, I get a database error, is this normal?

I get this when I search users who have not been banned at all sometimes. Just try again. And again. It'll work eventually.

Because it's like a special club for the popular kids.

Well your's wouldn't even say "member" would it? Wouldn't say at least "moderator"

I suppose you could to tag yourself "Member" to be all meta about it.

Yes, I asked if I could tag myself Member and I'm not allowed. And it did say "Moderator" for a couple weeks, but Kab and charle nagged me about it being "lame" or something. But I like Baudelaire.

Being labeled as a member is far more advantageous as it does not predispose people to the contents of my posts or lead to assumptions about my character. I can remain an enigma to my peers and be capable of anything.

i have a tag that doesnt lead people to assume anything of my post history

Tags attract attention. Both wanted and unwanted. We regular members fly low and do our shit without worrying about male groupies or stalkers.

Who was that guy in the poligaf threads a long time ago that would write huge posts? I forgot his name, it started with an M. He was really good.

It isn't nearly as bad as DMeisterJ's was until recently:

"D is for Dumbass, M is for Makes stupid posts, J is for Just shut the fuck up already"

bish changed it to something nice for him in the last tag fishing thread, though.

Its not bad if it provides a legitimate guide to interacting with a poster tho

Well, "moderator" is the least of a tag you can have.
It only makes sense for some mods to have a Member tag. It'll make them stand out less and you'd feel safe around them. At the moment, when you let your guard down, they strike.

Edit: to be fair, I had forgotten all about the Moderator tag since every mod seems to have tag
