All of them are. Except MGS3 which is godly.

Completely, completely, completely agree. I marathoned them all when 4 came out because I had never played any of them except 15 mins of MGS in 98 (terrible). Slogged through 1, 2 was decent, and then 3 blew me away. I still hated the gameplay, controls, just about everything to do with playing the game, but for some reason I have no problem telling people 3 is probably the best game I've ever played. And then 4 was alright just because of the control scheme.

Phew.. now I seriously never have to go to gaming side again.
