Infamous banned gaffers

Account suicides are such a sad last ditch clamor for attention when they could simply just ask a moderator to ban them. If they actually cared about entertainment of 'the people' they would make an interesting story or ruse. If you're really upset enough that you're going to spend 10 minutes crafting an OP looking for porn gifs, that's pretty sad. Everyone gets upset but you need to know when it's time to step away from the keyboard.
 
I have no clue, I've just run into the filter a couple times trying to post things. It became very annoying.

Anyone who publicly suicides probably has enough mental and emotional problems (i.e. dependance on internet attention) so as to be beyond that kind of reasoning.
 
The only one i'm sad that was banned ( a long time ago) is Castle007. He was a pretty decent gaffer until he posted something about being okay to hit women.
 
Private Hoffman made me aware of these forums with the Killzone 2 spam and 'calling out' Gameinformer. His posts where all over other forums.

Also Kittonwy was a terrible poster.

Who would make a thread about joey lawrence being fat? I don't think I've ever seen a guy who is slim and athletic called fat on gaf. The comparison doesn't make sense.

Wollan was a Sony fanboy. Among his predictions:
Home will save PS3
Little Big Planet will save PS3
Starting with 2007 (or was it 2008?) PS3 will take the lead over 360

He was considered funny and entertaining and 'cool' in particular by other Sony fanboys and probably some of the mods as well. But I think what finally did him in was his unsubstantiated claim that a media entity has been paid by Microsoft for saying something positive about 360 (or Microsoft?). It wasn't the first outright lie he said but in this country one thing you can't do is go around and accuse people of bribery.

I just read through that whole thread. Never heard about it before. Mad. So that person is Folder's buddy? And what was the website he ran? These history lessons are tough to get your head round with censored words!

It's not a map, it's a section of the a Killzone 2 single player level fairly early into the game. And it's not a co-incidence, the developers noticed his love of all things Killzone in the massive pre-release threads and stuck it in as an easter egg for him. Guerillas community manager (or one of the coders, I forget) came into the thread from time to time. Wollan eventually got busted for trolling in MS threads repeatedly if I recall correctly.

I think that's awesome. There was another user, FFobsessed, i believe, who got his name changed to KZobsessed because he liked Killzone so much!

Yea, game was beautiful, but the controls turned people off.

Going back to 2000, there was Futami and the Great Sasuke. People who would've been banned in 5 minutes on GAF today, but at the time they got to say some awful, hilarious stuff.
