I have a feeling that this Smash will be much darker in tone anyway its been heading that direction and now with a Namco team as well. Bayo should be in there striptease and all for the lulz

Bayonetta isn't going to get in Smash unless they strip her (heh) of both of her signature moves. Not sure if Bayonetta would still be Bayonetta if she didn't make a demon from the hair on her body or use guns strapped to her heels.

Unless of course they can convince Nintendo to ease up on their restrictions, which would be nice.

Yep. Lots of flamebait being thrown around from hardcore Nintendo fans happy to see others "suffer" or whatever. Pretty sad situation on both sides, but lots of people will turn a blind eye to one side's poor behavior and just focus on the group they don't like (ie, Mama's Wall of Shame).

Except this game was never going to exist otherwise which to me personally would be more disappointing.

1 year with my activated account and about 6 years reading these threads, but I always thought most of what people write (like when the FF13 Xbox Release happened) were jokes.

I really have a lot to criticize about the WiiU, like the weak support from western developers(at least from my point of view right now), but somehow a lot of people really seem to have some kind of genuine hate against the WiiU. It kinda reminds me of the times when I was 6 years old and people just hated the competitor, because they could only afford one console.

I am an expert in Japanese culture and this is it. Nintendo and Platinum Games and Kamiya are finished. Nobody will buy a game from them ever again due to this crime of the century.

This is a fine example of things being turned into something they aren't by putting words in peoples mouths: I never said people should be angry at Nintendo or platinum- you just did.

No hope left for this thread when rationality is apparently everyone's allergen here. Its like politicians, you can simply state that its a pleasant sunny day outside and they'll find some way to turn it into an argument.
 
The first great betrayalatron of this generation. Shocked at how big this has gotten.

Honestly. I never played the first game. I may end up getting the second now though if I buy a Wii U.

This will only cause this company to solidify its hold on the IP, its not like SEGA even cares or has the money to support it alone.

Sega is the one people should have been pissed at but they are not as fun to hate I guess
 
The console wars on GAF are exactly as civilized as the last ban wave allows them to be, and depends significantly upon how recent that ban wave was.

These are wars without end, and wars that always have a fresh herd of willing new recruits. They are terrible things and it is my duty to bring them justice.

Personally i think it's pretty cool we are getting this game atall and it may have pushed me over the edge to buy a wii U! Good going Ninty you are doing your job well :P

Nintendo just shot themselves in the foot.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in Japan, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the japanese public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Bayonetta 2 for the Wii U, nor will they purchase any of Nintendo's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Nintendo has alienated an entire market with this move.

Nintendo, publicly apologize and produce Bayonetta 2 for 360 and PS3 or you can kiss your business goodbye.

I didn't say it either, but a lot are this is a fact, and frustation typically leads, to angry as seen in this case. I'll admit I i did mildly misinterepate what you said and for that am sorry but look at this as a whole, Do you think the typical reaction to this is fine. A dead series fine hope as an exclusive on a new platform.

I just find it hard to see people defending the rage the dissapointment is fine, disppointing things happen in gaming all the time, but the rage in general is far too much. this 100 page thread is evidence of this. And twitter etc far more so.

I'm convinced by now that a sizable portion of the people that are going batshit insane over this aren't even fans of Bayonetta at this point.
 
For anyone just joining this thread, I think I can sum it up pretty quickly...

PS360 fans didn't buy Bayonetta which is why no one would publish it for a sequel.

Now PS360 fans are upset because they can't continue to not buy Bayonetta 2 because it'll be on Wii U, a system they are vehement on not getting anyways.

I do hope some people are doing this. Saying thank you if you loved the original would be nice.

I never played the original so it would be meaningless from me but I have watched it on youtube for a few hours to see what it was about
