Adam Warren (W/P/Cover) and Ryan Kinnaird (P/I/Cover)

On sale Dec 19

Costumed crime fighter Empowered makes an ill-fated visit to a top-secret dumping ground for ultratech "superdebris" and wrecked "villainware" left over from cape-on-cape battle. Can Emp and her hapless teammate, Mechanismo, avoid annihilation when the junkyard nano spawns an apocalyptic cheesecake plague of flirty but lethal "cyberangels" and sensual but savage "devil mecha”?

• 30 story pages!
It's nice of Adam to give him work once in a while.

Dark Horse Solicits for December 2012 (Newsarama)

Yeah, so guessing Mutant gene restarted..... Rose out of ashes was in the point one comic with EpicFail Nova after the planet got rosted.

Rebirth all that shit.

Now that the event is basically over, what AvX tie-ins were actually worth reading?

I've gotten behind on a lot of Marvel series. Since April, I think I have kept up with Uncanny X-Force, the Fantastic Four Books, and Wolverine and the X-men (and the main AvX book). That's about it. WatXM was the only book that crossed over.

EDIT: I'm working my way through Gillen's Uncanny X-Men, so I guess I guess I will get to those AvX issues in 9-10 more books.

I'd say Gillen's work was the highlight.

UXM all the way. Remender's SA was good as well. Pretty much those were the only things worth reading.

Other tie ins sucked except for Academy but was more focused on Shaw and Juston and X-23 than the originals..... so yeah.

I bit on the Marvel Now special on DCBS. Forgive me.

I'm undecided, i think i'll pass since i don't really want:

Iron Man #1, 2
Avengers Assemble #9
A Plus X #2
X-Men Legacy #1,2 = maybe get the trade.

saving 50% on all 18 books vs 40% on 12 doesn't really seem worthwhile to spend more.

ohhh. thanks for this site

Have fun! ^_^

Zod help me.

I just noticed Nicki Minaj has the facial structure of an Alan Davis female. :O

The shape of her head, the cheek bones, the eyes, and the lips. @_@

Though she has a crazy high hot to derp ratio. Disproportionate actually, a bit like her ass. :P

And this tangent has brought to my attention Alan Davis has drawn Vampirella. New Target Acquired!

Note sure if this has been posted.

Batgirl - Spoiled
Stephanie Brown might be absent from the New 52, but that hasn’t stopped a team of devoted and talented fans from bringing Stephanie's Batgirl to life in an upcoming webseries titled Batgirl: Spoiled.
Interesting, hoping it's quality stuff.

edit:
Scratch that. Kind of giggled during the trailer.

Come to think of it, Ultimate X-Men taught me that not everything in the Ultimate Uni was good, period. Which is a shame, because at the time, Ultimate Spidey and Ultimates were doing so well.

I dunno, Ultimate X-Men taught me that not all Jean Greys are created equal.

Her being the "real" Jean Grey from the past means they at least have to stick with her general established personality in the 616. Or at least Bendis should be doing that.

First issue will be worth it for past Beast's reaction to current Beast.

Past Jean's reaction to there being no current Jean will make it worth it for me.

Fashion Beast #1 (Alan Moore, Avatar) was pretty interesting.

Not sure if the lead character is a cross dresser or transgendered, but it's supposed to be from a script he wrote in the 80's and the Cold War paranoia / dystopian present feeling reminds me of past Moore work.

Can't tell exactly what's going on yet, but the lead works as a coat checker and dancer at this clothing manufacturer which is some sickly beacon of hope in this screwed up world.

Interesting story and better than average art and storytelling for what I've come to expect from Avatar. Generally I feel the imprint survives on the strength of the writer's name cachet, and then they fill in the artist blanks with whoever is available.

Avatar has some interesting stuff. They definately have a lot of "mature" titles. They've got their shock comics like Crossed and Ferals which is basically torture porn, but they also have a lot of mature themes without the gore. You never know what to expect with an Avatar comic.

If you like fantasy purchase Sword of Sorcery. Amethyst hold be a hit. Looper sit just took it to another level.

trade waiting dc books is brutal, by the time the book rolls around i tend not to care anymore. Ivampire vol 1 not releasing until October....likelihood of me caring by then? Laughable.

I doubt they can handle it satisfactorily. I mean, how do you explain "You died, married Scott, died again and nobody can actually explain who killed you, but then aliens killed your entire family, and Scott shacked up with the woman who drove you insane the first time. Then everybody teamed up with the force responsible for your insanity and the death of the family and several of your own deaths and used it to wreck stuff and hurt people you loved"?

Yep. :(

Which is exactly why I'm curious to see how they handle it.

That truly is the bouillabaisse of all fuck ups.

Yikes, too true. This probably all ends in a reboot.

So, who else thinks cyclops will go full-on villain?

Well it is possible that space traveling Cyclops might replace the current one.

Jean is already dead, so younger Jean won't have a problem.

Beast and Iceman already have Age of Apocalypse characters coming and going into current continuity.

Angel is almost a new character. He isn't Warren Worthington anymore.

I think it's possible, but it's too early too tell. I guess it will depend if Bendis book is successful.
