Or at least half of it.
So this is Marlon's/Shizui's however you want to call him debut and pretty much only episode. Nope, Ash doesn't fight him, instead I guess the expy for the B/W 2 kid does so whatever. Too bad the first half of the episode was all about finding the darn gym leader so I guess this guy doesn't get much of a showing in the anime.
At least the fight was pretty good. Rushy as it wasn't as important I guess and no one really cares about an non-Ash battle.
The other highlight is that it showed off that Samurott isn't silly looking and looks pretty damn cool using its Shell Blades. Somewhat.

It doesn't really matter, because for the material they'll be covering in the manga these are the only important characters:

Ugoo: Toshiyuki Morikawa
The rest will get some screen time in certain arcs, or flashbacks, or cameos, and nothing more.
Huh, I don't really remember Yamu being in the Balbadd arc. Maybe they're gonna cover more than just that... or it could just be a part of the new Sinbad stuff.

Alright then, the Maru-Shoe-Tomato power trio for the main characters is lookin' good, and I'll trust FukuJun and Sephiroth with whatever roles they've got.

Haha oh wow! Yuki Kaji as Alibaba that was unexpected, not too worried about that considering he can voice a deeper tone other than the whiny tone he always uses for this characters. Ono D as Sinbad is another unexpected choice.
I'm fine with Tomatsu Haruka as Mor since she is capable of voicing strong female characters. Kana hanazawa as the Kougyoku Ren hell yeah!
Let's see how capable Kaori Ishihara can voice a shota.

I can only spend so much on the animes, and I've still got Utena sets two and three in the back of my mind!
You know you're going to have Accel World flashbacks when Kaji does his whiny sad voice after Aladdin gets all the hot chicks in the brothel leaving him with the really weird one!
In that case.....go without food for a bit and still buy it all.
Anime is important.
Ishihara was obvious, had a feeling that Tomatsu would get Mor since she gets a lot of main roles from A-1 productions. Like Nagi/Kannagi, Naruko/AnoHana, Asuna/SAO. Don't mind Kaji at all, would've preferred Miyano but whatever, pretty good cast in the end.

An inoffensive ending to a mostly inoffensive show.
I can't really think of anything constructive to say about this season. I mean it was pretty much just the first season with more characters and no main conflict. Just screwing around in the wonderful world of Floynard with its silly animal people. Hero king was a nice addition to the cast and Cou grew on me despite her jarring as fuck voice.
I'd watch another season of this, but I wouldn't be too broken up if this was it. I mean, it's not like there's really anywhere to go from here beyond more war games.

So I have not been able to watch anime for a week, and I feel bad. Its busy with all the games I bought lol.
All the Kannagi characters had really great voices. I dont think it would be too difficult to pull off that Zange voice though for her.
He can do a deeper voice such a Lyon from Fairy Tail but Youtube is filled with shitty disgusting AMVs so I can't show a example. Or another example is Mysterious Girlfriend X.
I'm expecting a tone down Ranmaru instead.
I knew I've heard that particular piece from somewhere!
Both this and the song that was playing at the end of the intro sequence were really good.
I recognized it from Asura's Wrath.
I don't know if that's good or bad.
Not that I'm doubting the merits of Revolutionary Girl Utena, but listening to them extol its virtues on a previous podcast, was nothing short of nauseating.
