I just don't get why game companies think we want that. Why don't they stick to showing off what they do well instead of trying to do huge fantastical performances that have nothing to do with anything?

To be honest, that Cirque du Soleil thing was one big WTF anyway; probably no one who was invited on that show knew what the hell is going on and why did Microsoft even think it was a good idea. IIRC Itagaki even left during the show, confused and disgusted. :lol

But that's Microsoft for you. At least they made a separate event for that and didn't waste everyone's time during the actual E3 conference (unlike this year... who thought inviting Usher was a good idea?)

I can't remember if it was from the IGN story or not, but I read that he took off the white gown/robe thing, held it out, dropped it on the ground, then turned around and left. The mental image it created was so boss.
