Green Man Gaming Thread: Save some green, man

I can't buy anything on greenmangaming the last few days. I always get browser errors that it wants to redirect to the same page. Firefox/Chrome/Opera all give the same issue.

They recently lost out of a sale from Borderlands 2 for me because I was unable to buy it and this time I'm forced to buy XCOM somewhere else too. Annoying.

Edit: Now I did it. I had to create a completely new account and not use paypal, but instead my credit card directly.
 
Is it possible to cancel a pre-purchase? I still haven't received the key (steamworks game), as the games comes out more than two weeks from now). The FAQ doesn't say anything.

Ya you can. Just contact their customer service department.

GMG often doesn't send out their keys until hours before the release of a game, keep that in mind.

For Dark Souls I think I got mine 15 hours before release, for BL2 people were getting theirs about 6 hours before or just after the release.
 
Looks like they finally added EA games. they all activate in Origin, so you may as well buy them from GMG with the discounts.
 
I have a 25% discount coupon, which expires on 6 days. Would this be a good time to buy Hitman Absolution (using it), or should I wait for a better discount, say 30% off? In a couple of days I get paid, so that would be a good chance to use the coupon before it expires, though I already have an ever-growing backlog and don't know when I'll get the time to play it.

I get the message that I can't apply my coupon to games that are on special. Any way to change this? I'd rather get 20% off than trade in a game and get $8 off.

Also, if I pre-order X-com on GMG, will I get the same pre-order bonuses as the Steam ones? Like with Red Orchestra 2?

You see the pre order bonus in the description in GMG.
The pre order bonus you see in Steam are Steam store exclusive
 
I'd like to know if there is any working vouchers around to use with Alpha Protocol myself.

Still can't use the new coupon on X-Com (I'm in North America). I'll just wait until it goes on sale in a few months.
 
Dammit, I pre-ordered SimCity with the 20% last night hahaha... Oh well, it's like a 3$ difference anyway. I still get the game 20$ less than on Origin.
 
GMG has said this pertaining to the NA version of Xcom and why the vouchers don't work on it

On the product page for XCOM in North America it says vouchers can't be used, this is due to contractual obligations -J

Ha I knew it was publisher interference. I'm afraid this shit is going to get worse once everyone notices we're getting these games for $30-$40
 
Grabbed Need For Speed Most Wanted for $37 with that 25% off code. Thats 3 games I've bought off of GMG in the past month, their prices are incredible!

And even then pre-orders are processed in batches, as GMG seemingly prefers to ensure enough stock for post-release purchases, so if the game is particularly popular you may very well not get a key until some hours after release (e.g. IIRC, some pre-purchasers had to wait up to half a day after release to get their Sleeping Dogs keys).
