Started building the Tower Bridge with my finance last night and WOW. First of all Walmart SUCKS for shipping just the box as packaging, now there's stickers and dents all over it but I guess I can't complain since I got such an awesome deal on it. So I open this enormous box and there are soooo many bags....without numbers. I started piling them all on the table I use for building and it completely covered the whole table. And then I kept running out of containers to put each bag's contents in. A little overwhelming but in a totally awesome way. Not sure where this huge set will fit on display but it's already a super fun build. Perfect to build with someone since you start with the two towers which we are each buliding one. It may have been a bit tedious to go back and have to build it again or even if you did it side by side. After this is finished I have the haunted house. I'm getting too spoiled with these large sets!

Read more of their reviews. They are not impressed with much. Like I said about them earlier: it's like they are too critical and trying too hard.

And Nicoga: Death Star all the way. You saved up for it, so get it. Tower Bridge is better for MOC, but it is easier to save up for a $240 set later than it is a $400 set. Both sets are amazing, but Death Star is a bigger bullet to bite. If you have the means, plunge in.

Yeah, you and mrklaw are probably right...

Will the actual retail Lego stores have the B-Wing in stock today and on shelves or they take a bit to get the stuff up in store? It's a bit of a drive but thinking of stopping by after work to get one.

Mine had the B-wing (and the WV Cottage - both of which I picked up), but it sounds like not all LEGO stores are as quick. I would definitely call ahead.

They shipped it without an outer box? That's nuts! Remind me to never order from Walmart again...

All three of my Bricklink orders arrived at the same time, two from the US and one from Slovenia. I got mostly what I wanted but one bobcut hairpiece was replaced with a very similar Harry Potter-like wig and I don't feel like messing around to get a replacement. Next time, I guess. Also, the chrome on the armor was slightly shipped but I agreed to get a slight discount on it.

So in total I got a Computer Programmer, parts for three custom minifigs, and the parts for the mechanism I mentioned before. The arms will work great on that, thanks for the tip!

Just one question: what's a good way to remove printed details from a Lego block?

Stratford Westfield now has one less B-Wing. Used my £5 off £50 voucher, got double points and a free TC-14. The SSD has been removed from the window now and they have the B-wing and R2 taking pride of place.

Haunted House (not my cup of tea) is right as you go in and looks quite impressive.

Anyone else seen this too?

Design a new body for the 4x4 Crawler that fits the existing chassis and wheels! The Top 10 entries will be voted on by fans in January 2013. The winner will have his or her model turned into a LEGO® Technic set! For full details and a helpful video on how to enter, go to LEGO.com/Technic.

Technic competition

I'll be buying the 4x4 Crawler later this month so should have some time to decide if I will enter or not.

Now to build the mighty B-wing, the greatest of all WINGS!

My large order from Walmart came in 6 separate boxes, all 6 were double boxed, but one of them was in a box straight from LEGO with "BUILDING TOY" and "LEGO" printed all over it (the other 5 were in nondescript generic boxes). I believe it was the Pet Store that was in the LEGO branded box. Very odd.

The FedEx guy said "LEGO fan, eh?".

Sounds like a problem with a particular shipping location then. I saw a picture of a Tower Bridge shipped from Walmart from this sale on another forum. Not sure if this is the same one, but it had the shipping labels directly affixed to the Tower Bridge box.

B-Wing get! Nabbed one at the local Lego store. See the SSD is still in stock but it appears that the UCS Imp Shuttle has gone OOP? Thought SSD would be gone first, but they had no Shuttles. Still had Death Stars too.

SSD is only a year old. Imperial Shuttle is two years old.

Built the TIE Fighter and love it. I think I actually like it better than the TIE Advanced I had also got on clearance a couple years ago. I only wish they could have had the little strut things on both sides of the wings. All the extra minifigures are nice, although looking more closely at the officer's cap, it looks more like a Civil War era soldier's cap than an Imperial officer's cap.

I can kind of understand bad reviews for B-Wing, just because the main body is two mirrored pieces put together. That is always a negative in a build for me, especially when it's it makes up most the set. Still looks great, and I can't wait to get it.

Exactly. They didn't like the x wing that much either. Most reviews on that site are hyper critical it seems.

Ha. Didn't mean to start a 'bummed-out-about-the-B-Wing' epidemic, so apologies for that; I'd no idea they were downers. Not liking the Sex-Wing?! COMEONMAN.

I'm still going to get it, as I love the design of the ship and it will look superb, but certainly not for the ridiculous RRP.

Got the two sides to my hill for the Haunted House built. Added a lil pond next to the house for some foul creatures to hang around. Got the base of the perimeter wall built as well. Now to just find enough bricks to actually get the wall higher. I should have this puppy done by Tuesday night, and I can't wait to show it off. Am going to wait until it is done instead of doing work in progress shots.

You need to get a Swamp Monster, if you don't already have one. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Wow! So, I just finished that huge lot I got a month ago. All my free time has gone towards separating it and organizing the sets. It broke down into about 123 individual sets. 25 left over plates and 13 extra lbs of parts, animals, figures and odds and ends. Wow. I think I'm done buying large lots for awhile.

I will probably get the death star too,
seems like a fool proof investment...
its bound to go oop soon and will undoubtably go up in price if I ever feel like selling my lego... (yea right...)

is it known wether the lego store will have any nice other sets on the cheap this month? and is free shipping from the 15th confirmed?

Maturity, bitches.
Hmmm...

So I'm going to get the Winter set but I have to be conscious that there are other things apart from Lego that I want to get this year. While I'd love Haunted House £150 is pretty steep. Guess I'm not going to go overboard with double points.

Just noticed that B-Wing is 200...darn...that doesn't look like a 200 dollar set...

Anywho with the double VIP points, maybe I'll get that Haunted House set I've had my eye on...and maybe that Star Wars Old Republic set...the Sith one I think.

Got that Haunted characters set but it kinda sucks that the minifigures limbs are a bit...loose as in they don't hold stuff very well and the items are loose in their hands. Alas...
