I just got my fat pack today and an intro pack. I've really only played Magic a handful of times in my life so it's fun getting into it. I think I got some pretty decent cards too.

Opened up my box. I was scared, the whole time (until the last two packs) I only opened up one mythic. The last two packs had the last two mythics (No planeswalkers or anything, but still I thought I was gonna open a whole box and only open 1 mythic.)
Notable pulls:
Sphinx's Revelation, Rakdos Return, Trostani, Lotleth Troll, 2x Supreme Verdict (counting the buy a box promo),2x Steam Vents, Overgrown Tomb, Blood Crypt, Temple Garden, Chromatic Lantern, Detention Sphere, Dreadbore, Deathrite Shaman, Mizzium Mortars, and a foil Izzet Charm. I also got 3 foil rares (jank rares though). I'd say the box pretty much "paid for itself".

Split a box with my friend, and we had a really great pull.

...my friend pulled a foil Trostani.
I'm lucky though, I traded some stuff for it cus he wasn't planning on using it. So good.
All in all we got like $175 worth of value out of our box.

Those are some very good pulls. Best card I got from mine was a Rakdos. Sorta tempted to build a deck around him since he is pretty rare and looks like a cool card.

I got the selesnya starter pack so I was hoping to get good green and white. I have temple garden and vitu-ghazi guildmage which according to the book are supposed to be cool cards. Also angel of serenity, chromatic latern, utvara hellkite, and a couple other cool sorcery and artifact cards. My buddy got the worldspine wurm that I want him to trade me. I'm still new and all so I'm still learning the cards and what's good.
Worldspine Wurm isn't a good card, don't trade for it. I know it looks awesome but 11 mana may as well read as infinite mana.

So don't trade angel of serenity for it? I don't think I would but I know they are both rare cards, and its just so tempting. That's good to know though, thanks. I need to learn these things.
Angel of Serenity is a *very* powerful card, much better then the Wurm.
My store was selling a case of 6 boxes for $85 a box, so a friend and I split it.
Got back from my first FNM draft of RTR. This isn't an easy format! I started off in a G/W shell, going as far as to pass an Archon of Triumverence to take an Arrest. Of course, I eventually end up going U/W/g, after wheeling 2 Doorkeepers and ended up an ultra conservative deck. Ended up going 3-0-1, drawing in the finals.
Draft seems slower than sealed did- probably due to the lack of a guild pack as a starting point

Looks like it was just a preorder thing.
Late as hell, but you are right, Mortars > Bonfire. It does a much better job of doing what the player needs. It kills 95% of the creatures in your opponents deck while leaving your creatures untouched. Bonfire resets the board, Mortars wins the game. Mortars will go up in price, buy some now.
And sell all your Vraska's now and buy Jaces. Vraska will plummet, Jace will go up up up.

I'm not sure Jace will go up up up from $40.... Cards don't seem capable to stay up there anymore. What do you mean Bonfire resets the board?
Reset the board isn't quite the right term. Every time I ever had it cast on me, it was when my opponent was behind and needed to wipe my board so he could start building himself. Keep in mind I play aggro all day everyday and so every time I saw bonfire, I had already smashed my opponent down and he was casting it to save himself. So my only experiences with bonfire was seeing it being used to wipe the board clean and start again with my opponent hoping that I won't be able to rebuild. I know that mortars > bonfire is not a popular opinion, but there are a handful of people who feel that way. And I think it's going to really surprise people as time goes on.
As far as Jace goes, he's absurdly good. It's hard for Jace to live up to his past so every new incarnation gets undervalued, but this one is going to see a lot of play. However I didn't know it was at 40 now, I thought it was still down in price. It will stay at 40 though.
I'm really irritated I have no access to magic cards anymore. This set has such great long term value.

Watching the SCG Open - round 2. That Jund deck is not an aggro deck; it's a classic midrange-style grindy deck. I'm not quite sure who decided to name it Jund Aggro.

Zombies is disgusting. I expect the same moaning and groaning about domination that delver got. Both black red and black green zombies are nuts.
It is essentially a modified turbofog, without green.
It is good, but has a huge hole against fast aggro and there is alot of that in the new meta

Between them I hit a Jace, foil Vraska, normal Vraska, armada wurm, abrubt decay, drad bore, 6 lands (2 tombs, 2 vents, one white blue and one white green), 2 mortars, deathrite shaman, rakdos, rakdos return, trostani, supreme verdict...much much more.
Two good solid boxes.
Would have like a Lothleth troll but oh well.

The announcers were dead wrong about zombies losing sac engines. Jarad, Aristocrat, hell even killing wave says hi. They still can sack and benefit from it the best.
End of turn 2 dmg from the Shaman then attack for 3 I think.

Abrupt Decay (more than pays for all three boosters by itself!), $20
Rest in Peace (foil) $10
30 dollars in value from those two cards alone! I am pretty sure those were both from the same booster pack too heh.
I will probably hang on to the decay for my G/B deck, didn't think I would ever get one since they cost 20 bucks and I am too cheap for that.
