Alright I might dip thanks. :)

What's ZooKeeper Battle about? It should i go for DX?

Zookeeper was a game on DS that's pretty much like Bejeweled. Battle is a free to play multiplayer only game based on Zookeeper. DX costs money so I dunno.

I'm having fun with Battleheart, 7 hours in right now.
Such a shame there are no Gamecenter's achievements.

Any love for the game? I find this kinda hard to be honest! Not even sure how long it is :S

Loved it when it came out. Poured dozens of hours into it. Wish Mika supported it more. I believe it got a few classes post launch but not much else.

Either way, can't wait for whatever Mika does next.

Do you focus on attack animals, out of interest? Seems kinda weird to have so much attack but a pretty normal defence score in that screenshot, I wondered if it was a freak occurrence or whether I'm doing it wrong

I focus on winning

Freak occurrence, it didn't even feel like a 600+ attack game. I usually average 100-200 attack though

Just scored my highest atk stat ever, kinda overkill lol

You killed your opponent like 4 times over. lol

Anyone own the official Scrabble app for the Ipad? It gets butchered in the Itunes comments, but I still wondered if maybe it was good despite that.

Some thoughts after having messed around with this a bit: it's fun, getting into the zone with a ton of guys on the screen feels great and I think this game has a ton of potential, but a few things keep it from feeling great to me. This is a problem I think affects most games that involve some sort of ramping up in difficulty, but the game takes awhile to get going. I wish I could start playing around level 3 rather than have to go through the first two simple levels every time. The game also seems to ramp up really quickly, the first few levels are very easy but around level 5 there's a really steep increase in difficulty.

The controls work great at first, but after you get the fourth button it's really easy to get messed up because guys will look like they're falling directly towards a button, but it may not be the one you need to press to save them. The game would be a lot more managable if you sized the button so that pressing them activates a platform directly above them.

I would recomend adding a scoring system, with a multiplier that increases whenever save a number of guys without missing one. It would make the game more exciting and give a purpose to the easier early stages.

The game is really fun though, like I said getting in the zone when there's a half dozen guys on the screen is great.

Despite still thinking that the boosts are pretty lame, I picked up SMAMC. I think I'm getting pretty good (averaging about 250,000 without boosts) but I have no idea what I'm supposed to do when I'm in a Megazone. I end up just flinging condos out as fast as a I can hoping to get a match, and I feel like I'm wasting an opportunity. Am I right in thinking that getting rid of shinies during a Megazone has no effect since there's no monster to feed them too?

Thanks so much for the feedback. I have been considering a scoring system with multipliers and i plan on updatig it with gamecentre and other improvements.

I am glad you still find it cool to play despite being fairly bare bones

I pretty much agree with the impressions above. The game is fun on level 4 and 7 when things are kind of frantic. Level 5 is significantly easier than level 4 and level 8 with the extremely quick jumpers seemed much harder than level 7. I thought the controls work fine when there are only 3 platforms, but when I got to the levels with 4 platforms, I got confused since the left button is under where the guys spawn instead of under the first platform. Overall, there is potential for a fun game but needs a good scoring system and some polish.

Zookeeper Battle

Damn, I have been looking for you online but we haven't met yet LOL, your rate must be in higher group than me or something. What is weird is you can be "off" in this game if your concentration is not there, sometimes I will play Super Hexagon a while and then switch back to Zookeeper and start to kick ass :O

I do that with lightning mode on Bejewelled. Kind of like "training" ;)

But I've found, more often than not, that having a low defense score is more likely to screw you than a low attack. Which is why I'm always a little pissed when it's the hippo or elephant that are the bonus tile, as that means rather than having three animals which contribute to your defense, you only have two (with an extra one adding to your attack, basically).

It sucks that there's no login for Zoo Keeper because I'd like to try it on my iPad, but I don't want lose all of the progress I made on my phone.

Mr rate is around the 2100s right now. It can be a bit of luck too, you can get a shitty playing field with only 1-2 possible moves and you'll waste like 15 seconds just staring at your screen

So far I have Super Hexagon and Game Dev Story on my phone and I love them to death, but I would kill for an accessible, quick to pick up and put down rpg. I saw Chaos Ring in the store but heard it was kind of short. Any suggestions?

I got it when it was on sale for $0.99. That happens every now and then on holiday weekends so wait for a sale to $1.99 or $0.99.

It worked fine the only game I played of it with local multiplayer. The way it works, when you're done your turn it hides all tiles and someone has to press a button to signify that you've handed it to the next person before it shows their tiles. Never tried non-local multiplayer. The dictionary isn't perfect and leaves out any sexual or offensive words. It's ok. Not sure if Words with Friends is any better since I've never tried that.

Mage Gauntlet and Battleheart. Best of luck putting them down.

it's like 20+ hrs to get the true ending. If that's short for you....

But I don't find it to be much of a pick up and play game.

Fuuuck. I have no chance :( The only consolation is that it seems the better you get, the less susceptible you are to shitty hands/rolls/decks... but you're still vulnerable to them.

Well, legend of yore is pretty decent. Guardian Saga is pretty fun, and I heartily reccomend Saturday Morning RPG.

Just finished TWEWY at 18h 22mins. There's plenty of post game content, including secret reports that further expand the story, but I don't see myself doing all the work to get them. I'd rather clear 2.4GBs on my iPad and read them up online.

It was a great experience overall. Very unique, and currently my most played game othe iPad.

I'm currently thinking about giving up on TWEWY and deleting it unfinished. The game is okaaaaaay but is really just a fluff visual novel with some battles thrown in. And the story is crap, so I'm not really playing for that. I think I'm just playing because I heard the gaem was good, but after 12+ hours, I'm yet to see where the real good in it is.

And I still resent the music for taking up so much space and being so utterly utterly shitty. Seriously. It's gotten to the point where I'm starting to note down posters who like the music because they have faulty critical faculties, and therefore nothing else they say can be believed. They go in the 'bad opinions' jar with the people that buy FF soundtracks on CD as well.

After my gaming life was stormed by God of Blades and The Last Express, I finally started playing properly Lunar Silver Story Touch.
So far, so good, so damn good.
Fortunately I do not seem to have the problems others had (played 4-5 hours straight and made to the port of Saith or how it's called..the experience was pretty flawless).
It's definitely an iPhone game tough...on iPad I find it acceptable to play only in portrait, too blurry in landscape...I'll do more 'research' when iCloud (confirmed in next update) will be present.
Said that, I'm really enjoying it.
It took me a while to fully understand the inventory screen and adjusting myself to the stick to evade monsters, but nothing major (I use touch to go only in cities).
I really love the added layer given by the fact you actually move in the combat screen.
Can't wait to continue the story...la la laaaaa la la laaaaaaaaa.

Then why won't my Nova 3 update with 3gb open?

Because Gameloft is Gameloft. I'm pretty sure delta updates aren't automatically supported by all apps and have to be incorporated by devs. I've noticed that some apps still download the whole thing while others like GOF2 does not, this seems to apply to any app regardless of their inherent size.

I'm finding 'Horn' quite charming at the moment. From the 'Dark Meadow' guys. There's a lashing of jank and it would be easy to reduce the game to Infinity Blade with mild exploration but there's something there that keeps me playing. Cracking voice acting and a fairly interesting story might be it.

I spent most of yesterday getting well and stuck into the first Broken Sword. I'd originally given it a half hearted start but I got really into it yesterday and had a blast. iOS really needs a lot more point and click adventures, they are perfect for the platform and I love a good yarn.

lol, this made me miss those long Amir0x discussions back when he was a mod and everyone got riled up when he said things like this. Did you ever get around to make that thread where you'd say all game music is shit? It would be a fun lunch hour read.

The story is quite nice and I found the ending really satisfying.
I loved the cutscenes too.

it's a fun game. still haven't completed it but its far beyond infinity blade with mild exploration as you say.

Unfortunately the second one is just a pale shadow of the first :(
One of the biggest disappointment in my gaming life (was an huge fan of the Templar one).
The (funded) kickstarter for a new chapter seems damn nice tough...I hope to see it on iPad someday.

Nah, I think I'll stay away from Peggle, doesn't seem like my kind of game.

Though I am thinking of either Bad Piggies or Angry Birds: Space.

What? Broken Sword The Smoking Mirror is just as amazing as the first one! If not better in some aspects!

Sorry, I do not wan't to spoil anything, but while I liked the first part I found the second one utterly boring.
Maybe it's just me...I don't know....I loved every minute of the first one.
The iOS ports are great tough, in both cases.

lol maybe I sounded to harsh in my post! It's ok man, just got taken by surprise because I thought it was general consensus that the 2 one was better than the 1!

^ and it was pretty sweet.

Doubt any iOS device can run the real deal. Unless there's a Wii version this time too, but I don't think that's the case?

I wonder if it will be a different game again or if they'll actually try to cram the full console game in this time?

The original iOS game was just a DS port.

But there is no ds verison to port from now........ unless they are porting the 3ds version :p FTP but with pay to unlock kart and courses?

I'm currently thinking about giving up on TWEWY...the story is crap...

No. No, dude. Either you haven't played through enough of the game, or there are synapses in your brain that aren't firing correctly.

I put the updated version of FFT at the top of the heap when it comes to stories in a video game, but this is right up there with that. Sure, the dialogue is saturated with teen angst, but trust me, there are some incredibly deep metaphysical notions floating around in TWEWY, and the ending is profound, satisfying, yet leaves you with plenty to ponder.
