I don't think the CFW is coming soon but the exploit (which is) will work with 1.81 yep.

Yep. That's what is coming tomorrow.
As long as you have the game and don't update the firmware, you can install the CFW whenever you want.
Tbh it sucks they didn't wait with the urbanix until the next batch of games came out. Maybe even until NFSMW

I don't even know what firmware my vita is on. Haven't turned it on in months. It's charging now. Battery completely dead won't even turn on till it charges some lol
So update to latest firmware and buy that game Leona posted? This unlocks only PSP emulator side of the vita right?

That's why I might just buy another Vita, especially for when Soul Sacrifice and the online-only PSO2 come out. God knows how cheap they'll get this Black Friday.

No, because the Urbanix exploit is compatible with tomorrow's TN-B update. So you'll get all the new features (some bug fixes like PSP games freezing when you go into sleep mode and other stuff).

Pretty sure they have those 'rules' so that a very manageable amount of people start downloading the game in question at a relatively normal pace, so it doesn't set off fireworks when everyone goes for it and ends up getting pulled quicker.

Urbanix was a much quieter "ninja release" and that still got taken down after a day.
This will be no different - people have already tweeted Sony guys and commented about it on the official boards and blog. Might as well let GAF know before the morning.

It's been confirmed for a couple of days on the wololo.net forums through a ninja release, the news gets rolled out to members at different times. Depending on different factors.

So... should I update my Vita? I haven't done it ever since they made some stupid changes in the newer version. Can I run it on previous vita firmware or is update to 1.81 necessary?
I never do this back seat modding stuff, but honestly, dude deserves a ban for that shit lol.
If you have the Monster Hunter exploit already, just wait. I think they're porting it if it hasn't already been ported. No reason to update unless you're getting the newest explot/want PSN functions (for now).

You wait for the exploit. Then you follow the exploits instructions to install. Then you boot the game and load the exploit.

No, I don't have any exploits yet and I already own Mad Blocker Alpha so I was banking on that.
I can't speak on behalf of any lurkers, but no member of GAF bought Tekken 6 because of what I said, lol.

In that case update to 1.81 right now. I dunno if the exploit will work with your firmware (It should in theory) but this exploit is for the latest firmware. So you might as well jump on that for the sake of consistancy I guess. If wololo comes back maybe he can tell you for sure (if Leona didn't piss him off).
ETA: Besides, you need the latest firmware to download/install via PS3 anyway so you might as well update if you don't already have it on your hardware.
