This is coming from someone that adores Blade 2, and even Del Toro on the commentary admits he would have done that scene differently.

Ok guys heres what we are gonna do. We do not buy the Nova series and we tell everyone else not to buy it. Within 8 issues it will be cancelled and forgotten about and we can all go back to business as usual.

Bendis's Guardians of the Galaxy actually looks intriguing though.

The real Nova is stuck in the Cancerverse with Thanos. Instead of getting an awesome series showing them trying to get out we get stuck with this.
 
So just checked and Thanos and Star Lord are back in the main universe now. Why is Rich the only one to get fucked? Are they going to make a Nova film with this little kid or something? must be that.

I think Jeph Loeb got hit with the same disease that Lucas has. Seriously how do we go from The Long Halloween, Haunted Knight, For All Seasons and even HUSH to...Ultimatum and now this?

On the plus side, maybe Nova will be the title that makes Marvel realise that it's not Loeb's name that sells, it's the big name titles he's put on.

Hulk, Ultimates 3, Ultimatum, etc were all going to sell regardless of who wrote them. Nova isn't that big a character, maybe this wont sell well and they'll stop letting him ruin things?

Though if Onslaught Reborn didn't make them ditch him, I don't know if anything will.
 
Cosmic Marvel is hanging by a thread. I'm surprised it's even part of NOW. It would have been a good time to pull the plug and reduce the lot to the occasional cameo/guest appearance treatment.

he and lucas are like apples and oranges on the scale to shit, but theyve both lost whatever magic theyve had in the past. only with loeb, we know why.

Not really. The actors are a lot stronger and the way they interact makes them seem like characters instead of a bunch of people channeling Whedon. Especially the relationship between Gwen and Peter. It's pretty spot on. And Spidey fighting Lizard at school and his swinging through NY at the end was better than all of the non-Hulk action scenes.

Can't be any worse than the Raimi movies. God awful CGI out the ass, all day, all the time - people want to shit on Blade 2, take a look at how AWFUL every Spiderman movie was because of constant use of terrible CGI.

Well that and Tobey Maguire not keeping his mask on culminating in the hilarity of Spiderman 3 swinging around new york in a business suit. LOL LOL LOL fuck you Tobey Maguire! >:|
